Friday night and Rio is packed, there is going to be a long wait. Call ahead, check in, and go look around for awhile and it's not too bad (note: you can't call ahead if you want to sit outside, so plan on doing a little more walking). Our waiter (Jose) could not have been more polite, prompt, courteous and... More

We have eaten here several times. The food is quite good and the service is the same. They have all that you'd expect at a Tex Mex restaurant, including some delicious fish tacos and ceviche. We have eaten inside and outside, and I recommend outside just because it's quieter. The inside is more lively but also louder. It's a little... More

I came to Uncle Julios on a Wednesday afternoon around 3:45 for happy hour. The outside patio was already full but because I wanted to sit outside I told the waitress I would wait for a table. The waitress replied that " they usually stay for a long time" . I said that was okay because I was meeting a... More

If you feel like Mexican and are in the Rio neighborhood, stop in, eat, have a Margarita, then go walk it off around the Rio.

My third visit to Uncle Julios is 18 months and each time it's a little worse. We went with a big group (20) for lunch on a random Wednsday in June. You expect service to be a bit slower with a big party, but the accepted the reservation, so they should be ready. We received our main courses 90 minutes... More

It is an awful place with a very rude manager. Will never go back again. Other locations are much better. I wouldn't be surprised if they had rat crawling in their kitchens.

So this was our first time to Uncle Julios. They were booked solid on the patio and we were "4th in line" with no time estimate offered as to how long until a table might open up. So we sat inside. Upon sitting down, we waited 17 minutes with NO ONE coming to our table - no water, no chips... More

Sat outside on a lovely evening overlooking the lake at Rio. Order the Guacamole that is made tableside. Portions are very large so it might be wise to share entrees. Above average Mexican food in a great location.

We went there on a friday, The food and service were good but it took for ever for our meal to come out. The server COULD be nicer but he was on a rush for some unknown reason. The food and service all together was good.

The food is good. The drinks are better. Great for Happy Hour or for lunch or dinner! Although, beware if you go on Cinco De Mayo - it was CRAZY busy! But we have been a few times and have loved every visit.
