outstanding Mexican food at a great price !

Was blown away with the flavor and quality of the food at Uncle Julio's Rio Grande Cafe. When I first entered this place I thought it was another low cost generic Mexican restaurant. However, I could not have been more wrong! The first thing which stood out for me was the guacamole dip which was... read more

Really tasty mexican and tequila restaurant. Fast service, friendly and great cocktails. But meals are huge!

The food was excellent. I had the Juanita's platter. It had two enchiladas, a tamale, and one taco. The enchiladas had green hatch-chile sauce. I lived in New Mexico for many years and it does have New Mexico style flavors. The service was very good on a very busy night. Drink wise they have lots of margarita varieties and bottled... More

Consistantly good Mexican food. Noisy and crowded, but you can call ahead to be put on the wait list. Great pork tamales. Fresh chips and salsa are a cut above.

We Have not been here in quite some time due to their soup removal. Well our soup has returned as has a redone menu. We came here with my brother inlaw and he does not do seseafood but we got him to try a cup of the seafood soup and he truly loved it, his wife did to. The crispy... More

Went here with some colleagues after work. I was disappointed. It was very noisy, so it was hard to hear each other at the same table. With the cement floors and hard-surface walls it was a cold place on a rainy day. The food was very average. They claim to be authentic mexican, and granted it is not Tex-Mex, but... More

Good service and food. Convenient to several hotels. Make their own guacamole and chips. Excellent fajitas.

This is a large, cheerily decorated restaurant in a shopping district. It has the feel of a chain. Food is OK but quite Americanized. There are better choices

Nice casual Mexican restaurant. Chips were warm and crispy, although the salsa was bland. Fajitas, which are their specialty, were very good, properly cooked and seasoned. Full bar available although I was disappointed in a lack of variety of beer. Price was reasonable, and service was very good. In all, a good, casual, and reasonably quick dinner.

The food is good, but not that special. There are limited choices and although authentic all are unhealthy choices. When I was there we had to wait too long to be seated, and given the average quality of food and service there are just much better options nearby. The guacamole I had with my meal did not seem fresh. And... More
