Food is still Good, Salsa Great, but why the hurry???

Uncle Julio's/Rio Grande Café has absolutely the BEST fresh salsa ever! They roast their vegetables before chopping them up and putting them in their salsa. Uncle Julio's/Rio Grande Café has absolutely the BEST fresh salsa ever! They roast their vegetables before chopping them up and putting them in their salsa. The smokiness of the roasted vegetables just adds so much flavor to the salsa. The chips are always warm and plentiful. We also enjoy their queso. Normally we get the fajitas and Juanita's platter (both... More

Went here with friends to enjoy a decent Tex-Mex meal. The place was crowded and the staff was really working their rears off to keep everything moving - and succeeding. We put in our request for our party and were about to be seated when we encountered two more frieds whom we invited to join us The staff could not... More

Service is always fast and friendly. Portions are more very generous. Food is VERY tasty. I usually eat one of their sizzling fajitas (beef, chicken, or shrimp) they all great. Their salsa is very very good and their guacamole dish is excellent. Been to this place more than a hundred times. With the family, friends, and business associates. Great place!

When we want to go out and have really good Tex-Mex, this is the place we always return to. We've learned to come early to avoid the loud sound threshold that builds as the younger crowd arrives from the local office parks, but so long as we do that we can enjoy a tasty meal without having to shout our... Best salsa and chips going. Main dishes are overpriced and too salty for my taste. Quality has dropped from years past. The place is always busy and generally not worth any type of wait.

Ate at the bar and the house Margarita is excellent. The Huevos Ranchero was a huge disappointment. Served on a huge plate but with small plate portion and lacking any salsa or guacamole, etc. The fried(most likely from frozen restaurant pack) came so cool that I had them sent back to reheat. I have eaten Huevos Ranchero all over the... More

Excellent Margaritas and chips and salsa. Most meals spicy regardless. Service was good considering how busy they were.
