The wait was 45 minutes, with no place to wait... the bar was full, and so noisy, the entrance was full, we had to wait outside. Luckily, a waitress got us drinks and handed them over the fence, although that is forbidden...:) We were finally seated, the noise in the dining room was just as bad. The waiter got our... More

I enjoyed my evening there because of my companion. Appetizers and drinks were great but entree not so much. I probably should just have had another appetizer instead of trying a full meal. Our waiter was nice and polite but his waiting skills need some help. He was perhaps too young or inexperienced to handle a crowded, noisy restaurant. Fun... More

This place is located at one end of the duck pond and is huge. It is noisy when I'll but has an great outside deck area. The menu is extensive and the positions are large. Meal prices adobe average $12-16. Great chips and fresh salsa. You can take your time and relax at this place with family and friends.

Fajitas were super expensive and not worth the price with no seasoning and over cooked. In fact, they were burned/chard black on one side. Rice was also over cooked and the beans were horrible. Fish tacos were ok. The sour cream enchilades just ok, the crippy beef taco was slightly better than Taco Bell. Service was slow. Restaurant was clean... More

Food is always great but service is just horrible!! This could be a great restaurant, in fact was always a great chain...been to it Dallas, years ago, and also in other cities. This one has bad hosting service and the kitchen always seems to be sooooo slow, how does it take 20 minutes for the salsa to come out, after... More

Generally when we have eaten in at this restaurant the service and food has been good. Unfortunately, the carryout service stinks. I tried it once before a couple of years ago and service was slow. Tonight it was worse than molasses! We got there before 8pm and I didn't get my food until almost 9pm, about 50 minutes later. The... More

While the atmosphere at this restaurant is lively it is also exceptionally noisy. We have gone to this restaurant on and off for years but I am now done as there are better places to go for good mexican food. My biggest comment is 'American Cheese'....anything you order that has cheddar on is is not real cheddar...it is a mix... More

We stopped in for lunch around 1:30 on a Saturday and sat in the bar. Service was poor. We had to ask for drink refills every time and were never offered another basket of chips. It took around 30 minutes for our food to arrive - a salad, a quesadilla, and an enchilada meal. Food was average and tasted like... More

Last night, we decided to show some new friends good Tex-Mex food and met them at Uncle Julio's at Rio in Gaithersburg. We are very familiar with Uncle Julio's from our time in Fort Worth, and generally thought it was a decent (though not the best) Tex-Mex restaurant. Last night, however, changed our opinion. Since we arrived at 6:30 on... More

Have not been here since we move out of the area & the name changed, and for whatever reason we found that things were not the same. The margarita;s were good but for $9, plus the infamous 9% Maryland Liquor tax, the glass may have had 4 ounces maximum with mostly ice, and was really not worth $3. The chips... More
