My wife and I met 2 of our friends here to eat after a long day on the river. We were all very hungry and they recommended this place. The inside is very nice but the wait time is not. We started off with the Chesapeake crab fries. They were tasty, but serving was small for $10! My local favorite... More

This place has a little bit of everything on the menu. The service was excellent and the food was good. My hubby got a steak and wasn't too thrilled with his meal though. He ordered med rare and it came out med well. I got the sweet/hot wings - which were super yummy. We also got crab dip as an... More

A return visit with my wife and a client. A 45 minute wait was only 20 (there was a function upstairs which dedicated lots of attention. ) We were seated and ordered appys: fried dill spears and stuffed mushroom caps. After a 20 minute wait due to the function upstairs, (maybe they need to expand prep space) the appys arrived.... More

Dining options appear to be very limited in Frostburg when FSU is out for the summer, so, when the town slows down, this could very easily be the best place to eat. And, any time of year, it's large and fairly interesting menu as far as conventional restaurants go mean that in a large party everyone should be able to... More

I'm in the area on business and asked at the front desk what is good in the area, both girls working the desk said "Sand Springs" without a hesitation. I took there advice and am glad I did. First off know that it was very busy, on a Monday evening. That boded well for the place. Myself and two colleagues... More

During my recent trip to the Burg, almost every place was a bit disappointing...except this. First of all, its obvously known to be the best in town because its always busy. And oftentimes, its the ONLY place that is busy. Anyway, they have a regular restaurant and a "saloon" area. The bartenders were very friendly. Try the Tumbleweed Loaf for... More

This restaurant will spoil you for others in the area. Fabulous prices, great food, wonderful service await you. I am a vegetarian and they always accomodate my changes to an item. You will never be disappointed. Make a reservation if you come on Sunday after church or in the evenings.

We have eaten here several times. It really is one of best restaurants in western Maryland. It is usually crowded in the evening, but the service has always been great. They handle crowds very well. They have plenty of staff on hand and the meals come when expected. Tonight I had the Filet Crab. It was delicious and they did... More

The most fabulous fries to be had anywhere around! Worth the trip just for them. The Chesapeake chicken is a favorite too. Last time I had the grilled shrimp skewers...yummy! The lobster bisque is wonderful, as is the French onion soup. I have never had a bad meal here. Busy when college classes are in session...just wish there were more... More

Most popular in town, often crowded but very good quality and value! Service is good. Menu not diverse but all on it is good food.
