The food here is amazing! The meatloaf is some of the best we have had, and the wine list is extensive and excellent. If you like crab dip, It is so good we ordered it two nights in a row. The breakfast BLT was different and delicious. If you sit outside, the hummingbirds will entertain you! Well... read more

We enjoyed a quiet peaceful dinner on the porch listening to the birds and watching deer roam the fields. Our food was delicious. I had quail with duck sausage and both were very tasty and cooked to perfection. My husband enjoyed the lobster risotto. I had to try the strawberry rhubarb pie after hearing another table rave about it. The... More

OMG - really great food! My husband & I both had the Pork Tenderloin, and it was the most tender and juicy pork tenderloin ever. It was served with a whipped sweet potato and asparagus. Asparagus were grilled and were OK (not terrific). But, the pork and sweet potatoes were so over the top good that they made up for... More

Took a drive for lunch and ended up at this gem of a place. The location is beautiful and the food is equally as delightful. Love sitting on the large deck enjoying wine and lunch. The wait staff was attentive and very informative as my husband and our friend asked endless questions about the lodge. This is a must do!

Probably the best restaurant in the area. The large, wood lodge overlooks a field of grass / trees - usually deer are foraging nearby. We've always started with a drink / glass of wine and sit out on the deck prior to dining - very peaceful setting. You can dine outside or inside - if the weather is nice, outdoors... More

We had three dinners at SRL. Most of the food was delicious including the spring awakening salad, salad of grapes, carrot soup (amazing!), pork tenderloin, filet mignon (melts in your mouth), lobster risotto, chicken. We were very disappointed in the fried green tomatoes-flavorless, the lamb (tasty but not enough for price), and the dessert selection. The desserts we had were... More

Well...I will start with the positive. The food, when it finally came, was very good. Unfortunately we came in, seated ourselves as the sign said to, and were completely ignored for 20 minutes aside from water. We had to ask if we even had a waiter and started to wonder "are we not dressed nicely enough? Is this a restaurant... More

Our meals at Savage River Lodge were excellent with good service. The menu reflected seasonal vegetables and choices were well prepared from the mahi mahi to the lamb rack which was exceptional. The trumpet mushroom risotto was amazin and the beet appetizer was a great medley of favors. We wish we lived near Savage River to enjoy their wonderful restaurant... More

Ever since i was little I remember eating here. The food is always amazing and the history of the restaurant is wonderful. Very old restaurant but very well taken care of. The staff is always friendly and do their best to keep up with the customers. They also serve large parties which was great because I had my wedding rehearsal... More
