Joseph's is truly fine dining in Harford County, at its best. There is absolutely nothing negative to be said about this beautiful little restaurant. The decor and ambiance is charmingl. The service is excellent. The food exquisitely prepared and presented and every dish a delight to the taste buds. Of course, they are famous for their sauerbraten but the fine... More

We had dinner reservations for our Christmas Party Dinner at 730 on a Friday night. The bar was lively and the drinks were made to perfection. We had a party of 6 and all ordered something different. Everyone said their meals were great. I have never been disappointed when eating here.

Had not been to Josef's for a decade or so. Found it even better than I recalled. Even the Menu is a "thing of Beauty." All three of us delighted in our meals, from Signature German Dishes to Seafood. The Dining Room is not crowded with too many tables and our server, Robin, was first-class. It's always a confidence-builder to... More

We have visited Josef's at least three times for dinner. Having lived in Europe for many years, the decor of this restaurant always takes us back in time to our days in Europe! The food is always excellent and they offer a nice selection of wines. I have always ordered the filet, always perfect with the exception of one time... More

My wife and I and another couple were north of Baltimore in the country. This restaurant came highly recommended for a relaxing quiet dinner. The night sky was painted with stars and no city lights could interfere. We were escorted to our table and the lighting was warm and cozy. The table was beautiful with a white linen tablecloth and... A few of us went here for lunch. I had the Roughie Tyler--potato crusted roughie with seasonal vegetables. I've had it here several times and it is always great. Also, I had the peanut butter pie for dessert...scrumptious! The service was wonderful as well.

Negative and positive. First of all, restaurant is very elegant and truly fine dining. Loved the décor. Service was excellent too. Polite and quick to respond to request's. German Restaurant? Not what one understands under a typical German Restaurant. yes, the owner is German and there are a few German displays such as beautiful paintings. But there are only 2... More

I enjoy Josef's Country Inn when you want a quiet private dinner. It's on the costly side but the food is excellent and I think you are paying for the setting, reputation and quality of service. I

Josef's Country Inn is a local favorite or a special occasion excursion. The food represents new takes on old world style (think pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon & stuffed with cranberries, then sliced thinly). The service is outstanding.

My 92 year old Mom and I were looking for a nice place for lunch and I had not been to Josef's Country Inn for a while. I was delighted at the great service and the food was perfect. Mom really enjoyed her Chicken Crab Linguini. I had a delicious Crab English (Crab cake on an English Muffin) which was... More
