My wife and I and another couple were north of Baltimore in the country. This restaurant came highly recommended for a relaxing quiet dinner. The night sky was painted with stars and no city lights could interfere. We were escorted to our table and the lighting was warm and cozy. The table was beautiful with a white linen tablecloth and... A few of us went here for lunch. I had the Roughie Tyler--potato crusted roughie with seasonal vegetables. I've had it here several times and it is always great. Also, I had the peanut butter pie for dessert...scrumptious! The service was wonderful as well.

Negative and positive. First of all, restaurant is very elegant and truly fine dining. Loved the décor. Service was excellent too. Polite and quick to respond to request's. German Restaurant? Not what one understands under a typical German Restaurant. yes, the owner is German and there are a few German displays such as beautiful paintings. But there are only 2... More

I enjoy Josef's Country Inn when you want a quiet private dinner. It's on the costly side but the food is excellent and I think you are paying for the setting, reputation and quality of service. I

Josef's Country Inn is a local favorite or a special occasion excursion. The food represents new takes on old world style (think pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon & stuffed with cranberries, then sliced thinly). The service is outstanding.

My 92 year old Mom and I were looking for a nice place for lunch and I had not been to Josef's Country Inn for a while. I was delighted at the great service and the food was perfect. Mom really enjoyed her Chicken Crab Linguini. I had a delicious Crab English (Crab cake on an English Muffin) which was... More

Had not been to Josef's in about 20 years. The good news is nothing has changed. And the bad news is nothing has changed. Josef's continues to serve some of the finest quality food in all of Harford County, MD. Unfortunately, there have been absolutely no changes to the restaurant interior. It is exactly like we saw it 20 years... More

We were out looking at Christmas decorations and happened to stumble upon Josef's Country Inn. After a little Escargot, a seafood appetizer, the veal Oscar, and the Veal Saltimbocca we were believers. Great selection of wines are available, but we found the house wine to be outstanding. Our server, Carol was friendly, attentive, and made great suggestions on a very... More

In July 2012, we celebrated my 75th @ Josef's. I now needed a perfect venue for a family gathering for a suprise party for our daughter's 50th birthday. Brenda was our server and she handled our eleven guests with ease and charm. Many had snails as a starter; ask for extra buns! Ok, I had my favorite Veal Oscar w/crab... More

Went Saturday evening for dinner. Service was great. Our waitress was very pleasant. I don't eat fish or veal but they had a few specials I liked that I could chose from. I got pork tenderloin with braised cabbage and dumplings. Was good. Dumplings needed something to dip them in. All in all good dinner experience.
