My husband and I love Johnny's. We have been patronizing this restaurant for quite some time and always receive fast, friendly service from the wait staff. The menu is not expansive, but what is there is tasty and well-prepared. One of our favorites is the Bistro sandwich - marinated flank steak on tasty herbed ciabatta bread (and very affordable at... more

We ordered soup of the day, menu price was $4.95 but we were charged $6.95. After complaining manager came and said it is specialty soup. After pointing out that in the menu there is only one soup of the day and it is clearly marked $4.95 his response was that incredients are expensive and rent high. He would not change... more

This has become our favorite restaurant when we want to go out for a casual meal. We keep getting the Greek Pizza and the House Salad (which is not actually called Greek, but it seems Greek). That salad and dressing is always unbeatable, and the handmade pizza is so delicious that we gobble it up quickly. It is fun trying... more

Johnny's has a very unique atmosphere about it, as it holds a laid back attitude but still retains a somewhat cozy feeling. The atmosphere complements it's food, I have been there many times and have been amazed at it's pizza in particular, it is not typical messy pizza, it is refined pizza with a defined herby taste. It's fries are... more

My wife and I are locals and we come here every chance we can get. The food is a cut above and they do everything just right. Historic Ellicott City is a fun place and Johnny's is a must! There is a full bar located above the restaurant on the second floor called Sharkeys - nice casual place. more

Terrible terrible terrible service. Cildren waited half an hour for their food - chicken tenders, maybe they needed time to kill the chicken first. Adults' food took longer and they mixed up the order. The manager stormed into the office right next to our table, screamed on the phone and slammed the door as if we were not there. Cannot... more

My boyfriend and I took a day trip to Ellicott City from the District for the day. Upon searching for a lunch place, we stumbled upon Johnny's. A customer leaving the restaurant saw us perusing the menu and gave it a thumbs up on his way out. That being said, very nice menu, fresh food, and the owner was sociable... more

Recommended by a local shop-keeper, 'Steve', we found the food to be pretty good. I had a crabcake sandwhich with vinagerette slaw which was satisfactory and fresh, although lacking the normal Maryland pizazz which you get with a good ole Old Bay seasoned fried crabcake. My husband had the shrimp with red pepper in mushrooms on salad which was appearently... more

March 7th a group of us took the day off and wandered the shops in Ellicott City. One of the shopowners recommended Johnny's Bistro, so we decided to try it. Short and sweet - a very diverse menu selection, not 'run of the mill' - difficult to make a decision. Everyone was totally happy with their selection. The hot mushroom... more
