I just love the atmosphere with the hardwood floors and the large vats of beer. Feels comfortable. The beer is great and they have a nice selection of entree's on the menu. It's my go to place when I want a nice meal out.

Combine a brewery style restaurant with just the right amount of class and you would have Ellicott Mills Brewing Company. Found this gem online and decided to give it a try. Our server was not only knowledgeable but also extremely friendly. We ordered two of their home brewed beers and were hooked. Once the meals came we realized the beer... More

We eat here frequently when in the area. The décor is not much to look at, but the food and drinks are excellent. Try the pumpkin beer in season. It is served with the rim coated in sugar and spices.

In town with BFF, the visitor's center recommended this when we asked about a "pubby" place to grab lunch. The beer was very good which I expected. The cheeseburgers were exceptional. I had the bison burger, BFF the standard beef. Both cooked exactly as ordered, moist and tasty. Liked the homemade potato chips too. The bartender took care of us... More

Good atmosphere, good service, good beer. Food was ok but nothing spectacular. However, on that note I ordered from the Octoberfest menu and their food was at best a poor representation of German food. Mostly American food with some German touches so it disappointed on that note more than it did as food. Prices were good. definately worth a stop.

visiting from out of town, friends took us here, as we enjoy a good variety of beer. Excellent choices, waitress seemed knowledgeable, but brought out one wrong beer, Fixed right away, though. Nice variety of food, I was on the east coast for the first time in a while, chose a crab dish. Very generous portion, good lumps of crab.... More

Love the ambience of the Rathskeller especially on a Sunday night. Can't go wrong with a Marzen or Dunkel as a staple beer.

A friend and I went for lunch and had a good meal. He had sausages and I had alligator. We were both happy with our meals. The beer was great! You have to ask for bread to get some but it was good.

I moved into the area over 10 years ago. Ellicott Mills Brewing was simply superb when I first started going there. I got turned off about 4 or 5 years ago because the beer seemed to turn bland, and the food was a little ho hum. I went again for the first time in years a couple of weeks ago.... More

Maybe I've just reached the point in my life where I need something more than great beer to like a restaurant. Greeted by a sullen hostess who I could not understand, but we followed her upstairs to a large, almost empty dining room and were seated right next to the wait staff stand. Maybe she seated us there so it... More
