I have always heard you should go here for the crab cakes and I finely made it in October. It's an old house converted in to a restaurant so you have various small rooms for diners. I guess all those who rate this so highly really like the quaint home style atmosphere. The crab cake was good but nothing else... More

I visited this restaurant in November 2014 for my cousin birthday. After reading the reviews and hearing her rave about it, I was eager to try it for myself. I love hidden gems, so I just knew this would be one to add to my list of local favorites. My review: 1. The decorations were dated 2. It was very... More

Went with friends for a birthday dinner. You walk immediately into the bar area, very crowded( a good sign), but it isn't clear where to check- in with hostess. No waiting area but get a drink and stand in the bar waiting for a table. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. My friend said the fried oysters were the best she has... More

If you buy the jumbo lump crab cake you will taste the best crab cake of your life! Sadly I have never been able to polish off more than one. Atmosphere is casual local older but the food will have stars in your eyes.

Been to the Edgewater restaurant for the past 15 years. The last visit will most likely be my last. The broiled crab cakes are still good despite the twice baked potatoes as our side and I could have hit them with a baseball bat and they would have stayed together.....hard, dry and extremely over baked. The place needs a good... More

The lump crab cakes are the best you will find -- all lump crab and no fill. The cream of crab soup is outstanding, perfectly seasoned and full of crab. Service was friendly, efficient and well paced. The only reason this is a 4-star review rather than 5 stars is because the ladies restroom was in dire need of cleaning,... More

We usually visit 4 to 5 times a year and always eat at G&M in lithicum. However, we ate at Edgewater today and I am now a follower. The best I have ever eaten. ALL crab and baked . At lunch incudes salad bar and a side for $18.95. A bargain and wonderful.

I have been going to this restaurant for almost a decade now and they know exactly what good food should taste like. The food looks and tastes like it came out of mom's kitchen and portions are sized exactly proportional to price so you leave feeling satisfied that you got your money's worth. For appetizer, go for a cup of... More

On advice from a friend, I drove from Winston-Salem N.C. to this restaurant. Just to try the crab cakes. Didn't dine there, took them home. Best crab cakes I ever had. Hats off to edgewater restaurant, it was worth the drive.
