Been to the Edgewater restaurant for the past 15 years. The last visit will most likely be my last. The broiled crab cakes are still good despite the twice baked potatoes as our side and I could have hit them with a baseball bat and they would have stayed together.....hard, dry and extremely over baked. The place needs a good... More

The lump crab cakes are the best you will find -- all lump crab and no fill. The cream of crab soup is outstanding, perfectly seasoned and full of crab. Service was friendly, efficient and well paced. The only reason this is a 4-star review rather than 5 stars is because the ladies restroom was in dire need of cleaning,... More

I went here for there Wednesday night special and crab cakes they were very good, we get a friendly waitress that has been there for a very long time she always happy and very kind, the only complaint is they need a renovation it looks very old and they need to keep it family style but remove that 70's looking... We usually visit 4 to 5 times a year and always eat at G&M in lithicum. However, we ate at Edgewater today and I am now a follower. The best I have ever eaten. ALL crab and baked . At lunch incudes salad bar and a side for $18.95. A bargain and wonderful.

I have been going to this restaurant for almost a decade now and they know exactly what good food should taste like. The food looks and tastes like it came out of mom's kitchen and portions are sized exactly proportional to price so you leave feeling satisfied that you got your money's worth. For appetizer, go for a cup of... More

On advice from a friend, I drove from Winston-Salem N.C. to this restaurant. Just to try the crab cakes. Didn't dine there, took them home. Best crab cakes I ever had. Hats off to edgewater restaurant, it was worth the drive.

E R has one of the best crab cake deals in the DC - Baltimore area. It is just a good country area that makes no bones about using asian crab meat not duping customers into believing they use Maryland Crab Meat like G and S does. Their Wednesday crab cake deal is awesome! Two big cakes fried never baked... More

A long-time resident took a group of us to enjoy these award-winning crab cakes -- hands down, the best I've ever had! Get the un-fried Jumbo Crab Cake (one crab cake is big enough for 2 to share) with huge chunks of fresh MD crab. Cream of crab soup was also delicious -- make sure to add dashes of table-side... Was told to head here for crab cakes and seafood. It did not disappoint. The food was excellent and they served lots of it (to be honest, way too much). Bread, two sides, salad bar, etc. The atmosphere is a dive bar - it's an old house, I believe. The service is friendly. It's definitely a good spot to hit... More
