This place is run by a young couple who are serious about food and providing guests with a top notch experience. The menu, while not extensive, offers something for almost everyone. I think keeping it short allows them to focus on preparation and quality, which really comes through when the dishes hit the table. I was there with a group... More

Wonderful meal. Small dining room. Small menu with something for pretty much everyone. Good wine list-not terribly overpriced. Deserts to die for. Service somewhat lacking this trip-there was a small wedding demanding a lot of attention but should not need to wait for wine and water refills. Nonetheless, a very good meal in a small and well designed dining room

My wife and I make a point of going to the Inn on those occasions when we are on the Eastern Shore, which is to write "when we are taking a break from the hustle and bustle of D.C. or celebrating something special." Each time we have enjoyed extraordinary service and spectacular food. The waitstaff is attentive, without being intrusive,... More

We went to Bartlett Pear on a Wednesday night before 6 p.m., it was nicely quiet. We were the only guest in the charming little dinning room, converted from a living room of an old Victorian era house. The wait staff was very attentive, friendly, gave prompt and great service. The small menu covers a good spectrum of food groups.... More

This was the nicest restaurant we tried on the Eastern shore. The ambiance is exceptional. We had our own table in a screened in porch area. food was inventive using freshest ingredients. Lots of seasonal items like pea shoots, fiddle head ferns, fava beans, nasturtium flowers. One of the dishes, a fish with a most heavenly broth concocted from lardons,... More

We made a reservation at Bartlett Pear based on Washingtonian Magazine's review and had high expectations. We had an 8:15 pm reservation, and arrived at 7:45. Our table wasn't ready, which was fine, so we sat in the bar and had a cocktail. The bartender was the best part of the evening; entertaining to watch and the drinks were delicious.... More

Our favorite spot in Easton. Great place to celebrate a special occasion. We have always done the tasting menu with wines. Have never been disappointed!:) Small place but great service and awesome food. This rivals many more prestigious and expensive locations in the DC area.

I must do so for the Bartlett Pear in Easton. Service and thoughtfulness are vital to a restaurant experience. Here, the wait staff was wonderful. My best friend and our spouses were there for two of our birthdays. Apparently, my spouse had mentioned this in the confirmation call. We were greeted with a nice note signed by the managers and... We tried the chef's 5-course dinner selection (nothing that wasn't on the menu) with wine pairings. Overall the food was very good -- the risotto was the best course! -- and a couple of the wine pairings really shone, especially the Malbec from Washington State. It was wonderful fun to have a surprise chocolate souffle with candle along with our... More

Beautiful dining room, with nicely restored hardwood floors and elegant furnishings in a well-restored old inn. It's pricy for the area, with entrees in the $30-40 range. Although very creative, I found the dishes a little too complex, with 6-8 major ingredients each. Also, note that the portions are small, but beautifully presented. I enjoyed the meal, but I wouldn't... More
