Lovely Birthday Brunch

I took my sister and nieces to brunch for my sister's birthday. We were greeted by Jeese who is completely delightful to talk to. He gave us a special table with a beautiful view. Delicious brunch...reservations recommended. Try the biscuits and gravy as a group app. Crab fritters are a delight. Impossible to do...but see if you can make it to the desert menu for some if the best sweets around. Great views at select tables.

We held my daughters bridal shower at the Comus Inn. The staff was wonderful to work with. Our server was excellent, she helped with setup, decorations and flow of the event and was there anticipating our needs. Rebecca, the event planner made it easy for me and was very responsive to my questions and requests. She did a fantastic job.... More

We sat on the porch for dinner on a July evening. The temperature on the porch was above 80F and the sun was in our eyes for the entire meals. The nice view was partially blocked by a large white tent erected for a wedding that evening. Portions were fine, but the food was not amazing for the $40 price... More

I planned and held the rehearsal dinner for my son and future DiL at the Comus Inn in June. The beauty of the venue was only surpassed by the quality of the food, layout of the Grand Room, and the outstanding customer service provided by the on-site staff. I am NOT easy to please (as a whole host of people... More

While the location of this restaurant is amazing, the food leaves something to be desired. Eating a dinner here with family, we enjoyed the friendly staff and prompt service. Their custom cocktails were well thought out and delicious; and our after meal deserts--made by the pastry chef--were exquisite. But, the overall food--from appetizers to the entrees--is best described as "industrial."... More

Wine list was good, food was good, but not great. Service was excellent, portions perfect, and the entire presentation was very nice.

I ate here last night with my husband and mother-in-law. I wish I had read reviews first! First, the staff was friendly and prompt. The view was lovely looking right out at Sugarloaf mountains. However, the sun was blinding. The people seated next to us were wearing sunglasses. This could be overlooked if the food had been decent...sadly, the food... More

Our in-laws traditionally share our local daughter-son and grandchildren by joining together for brunch on Mother's Day. This year the Comus Inn was chosen. "Disappointed" only mildly expresses our collective dissatisfaction with this establishment. To start with, we had a group of 10 persons and the reservations were made over a month earlier. When the reservation was made we requested... More

This charming farmhouse restaurant has a remarkable view of Sugarloaf Mountain in the Maryland Catoctin Mountains and is just slightly off the Interstate. We've been patrons several times and you feel like you're far away from civilization to enjoy a relaxing delicious meal. Highly recommended for that special occasion. The food is delicious and the ambiance is delightful! Treat yourself!... More
