I have food allergies and often cannot have popular, readily-available desserts. The man in this shop helped me find a sweet treat I could eat and survive. I was afraid it was going to be dry but it was wonderful. The big slice of cake was moist and delicious. I actually got two servings from it. This spot is handy... More

Located in the shops next to the Fairfield Inn. Stopped in for lunch before picking up our bikes. We really enjoyed the Bosnian Meat Pita-Pie (flaky hand-stretched phyllo dough filled with beef, potato and onion) and the chicken salad sandwich. Nice family story told by the owner of their escape from war-torn Bosnia to America and their decision to locate... More

We consider this a hidden gem in Cumberland. We've been visiting a friend who moved to Cumberland. We generally get lunch but have been disappointed with our options. Not anymore! This little place was quite yummy. Had the meat pie and one of the freshest portobello mushroom sandwiches we've ever eaten. Polished it off with a dessert bar called Banadera... More

We had read the reviews and were glad we ended up in the area for lunch. Had fresh out of the oven spinach pie made with flaky phyllo dough. Got two slices of cake to go - Bienenstich and Back Forest. Both YUMMY! The host added in a free chocolate coconut bar which was also delicious. Maybe he knew we... More

A delightful little cafe by the C&O /GAP. Don't miss trying a piece of cake! We were fortunate enough to have a slice of a regular's birthday cake.

A wonderful foreign born family runs this small, "restaurant" and dessert place near the beginning of the C&O. For no other reason, go there to support these fine folks. The food is hand made and pretty god.

My husband and I stopped in after a bike ride on the C and O trail. I had the spinach pie and Vasina torte and my husband had the meat pie. The owner is humble and friendly. So glad we went.

I was cycling to Washington, DC and thought I would stop for a quick cup of coffee and perhaps a roll. Well I didn't leave until I had a complete lunch including desert. If you visit Cumberland, MD and miss a stop here you are really missing something special. I only wish I could stay a few more days and... More

Poor, nasty, unfriendly disposition by worker. We walked in, no nothing, we turned and left! We will never eat there, really don't know how food was, it smelled good!

This is THE best! Do not pass up. Yummmmm! To die for and great service. It is our stop whenever we are in Cumberland.
