We were told by "locals'" to go there, and it turned out to be superb. A relatively small menu of Italian fare but the food and wine could not have been better. Some dishes seemed overpriced but most were very reasonable. The quantities were enormous. I got two more meals from my doggie bag! The tomato sauce was extraordinary. I... More

The Ristorante Ottaviani has a wonderful atmosphere, is conveniently located in downtown Cumberland and the food is fantastic! The staff is very attentive and the service is great. The menu is a little pricey but it is well worth it.

Found and went to this place strictly because of Tripadvisor comments. Its in the old part of downtown but easy to get to. Service was outstanding, prompt, informative and friendly. We had the zuccnini fritters, which were recommended and excellent. My wife had the Chicken Abruzza, which she said was outstanding. I had the Scallop Alfredo and the scallops were... More

Always stop here for a meal when we are in town. Bread is fantastic, staff is very friendly. Salmon was very good.hubby thought his pasta dish was so-so. A bit pricey but we like it.

A wonderful meal in a quaint setting. The specials are worth a try as are the meatballs. We had a lovely meal outside, although in the future I'd make a reservation and eat inside. The ambulance of the courtyard left a bit to be desired. But the quality of the food as well as the service were quite good.

Enjoyed a dinner here on our last night of a road trip and was very pleased. They kept bringing the fresh bread with infused olive oil on the side. Yum! Mothers enjoyed linguine with sundried tomatoes. A very simple dish but nicely done. Kids enjoyed 1/2 Caesar salads with chicken and shrimp. The 1/2 salad was not as big as... More

I live in Philadelphia, spend half my time in New York City and I've been to Italy several times over the past decade. I've eaten at the best Italian places and this place ranks right up there among the best. What a find...I mean, in Cumberland, Maryland? Who would have thought that I'd sit down to a perfect Cesar salad....the... More

I thought I submitted this review after eating here several weeks ago but apparently it didn't get published. We stopped at this Ottaviani on our way to western Maryland. The food was excellent. I ordered a bolognese dish that was one of the best bolognese pastas that I have had. My wife also had pasta that was superb. Dylan, our... More
