Nice lunch with great ice cream

We stopped at Queen City Creamery for a quick sandwich lunch. The process of ordering the food was a bit confusing on a busy Saturday afternoon and it did take some time to get our sandwiches. They were pretty good, but the real standout was the ice cream. My companion had the vanilla and I had... read more

We ended up in Cumberland after biking part of the Alleghany Passage, and the Queen City Creamery was recommended. It's a great little place with quite an extensive selection of sandwiches, salads, wraps, soups, AND... delicious ice cream treats. Beware, the "small" milkshakes are really small (maybe 6-oz. cup size, but they were very tasty. It was surprisingly crowded at... More

We stopped here on our way to the C&O Canal Trail, having spent the night after the GAP Trail. The restaurant is very near the end of the GAP and start of the C&O. The sandwiches were very good, and the staff packed them with travel by bike in mind, which meant nothing was soggy or messy when we opened... More

We stopped in to get ice cream while riding the C&O trail. My boyfriend got a strawberry malt and I ordered the blue raspberry sherbet on a cone. It was OK but we both ended up tossing the last quarter or so of it because it was just too sweet. My boyfriend never throws away food. I won't be back... More

We saw the sign from the highway and decided to stop. It was a nice treat. The sandwiches were all really good and the custard was wonderful. Would differently stop again.

The sandwiches and ice cream were very good. Not far off exit from main interstate. Family friendly but it did take about a half hour to get our food.

Went with my wife for lunch while traveling to meet some friends. What a find!! We had the the lunch combo with soup. The chicken tortilla soup was tastey. The twix ice cream was very creamy and enjoyable on a hot day.

Loved my blueberry sundae! There were a lot of customers so I was impressed by how quickly my son and I got our sundaes. I loved the atmosphere of the creamery...kind of made me feel like I went way back in time (30's or 40's). If we visit Cumberland again, we're definitely going back for another sundae!
