Bring back the old Melting Pot

I'm writing this hoping that Melting Pot of Columbia will make some changes. Just dined there this evening and I was not real impressed tonight. I have been visiting for several years now and we used to have it be our "special" restaurant, the place we went for special occasions. My son has... read more

The Manager Noah and our Server Peter were so warm and welcoming...the Cheese Fondues were amazing, fabulous salads-even all 3 teenage boys finished theirs :) Main Courses included, shrimp, ahi tuna, duck breast and filet-WOW-what a dinner and the finale was unbelievable, chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate accompanied by strawberries, bananas, blondes, brownies and rice kris pie treats- we licked... I'd heard about this chain for a long time and was pretty sceptical as to how good it would be. I finally went for a family celebration and was really surprised at the quality and quantity of the food. It was a super fun place to go and I'll go back when my cholesterol drops back to normal. My experienced... More

Ate here last night. The service was horrendous. The restaurant was practically empty and the waiter would still disappear for extended periods of time. When he would come back he would forget to bring silverware and whatever else we may have asked for. He was extremely spacey and would make the cooking sauces and then forget some of the ingredients... More

We have been to the melting pot three times now (different locations). The Columbia restaurant was very nice inside. We sat at a couples table which was nice that my date and I were so close. The table was too small to accommodate all the plates. It was also hard to reach the pot from where I was sitting due... More

Other than slow start of waiting for a table with reservations, 10mins, the night ended up being great. New trainee with server but service still great! Teriyaki beef was really tender/flavorful, the best that one can cut with a fork! Special teacher appreciation special with smaller portions but wonderful 4 course meal, cheese fondue, salad, main entree fondue, and of... More

My wife and I love to come here and typically save this for birthday as and anniversaries. We tried a different location and have to say this melting pot is one of the best by far. Love the jalapeño's cheese and dipping chips and veggies. We love to eat the steak, chicken and duck. Best part is when you get... More

My wife, then my girlfriend, started going to the Melting Pot on all of our big occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, flag day, etc.) when we first started dating. During this time, we have been to several different locations (Tallahassee, FL.; Tacoma, WA; Columbia, MD). So, anytime we come to visit my wife's family in Maryland, we always make it a point... My boyfriend and I bought a living social deal, it ended up being thirty five dollars for three courses. but all told we actually spent closer to a hundred dollars for two people. we waited about a half hour even though we had a reservation, and all together we were at the table for about two and a half hours....
