Great Bloody Mary bar on Saturday and Sunday. Food is great too!

A former manager of mine suggested we meet for cocktails at The Ale House in Columbia MD. I had no idea the former restaurant was long gone and completely upgraded for one fantastic ale house. The bar has several beers on tap, enough to give everyone something new to try! The waitress that served... read more

My wife and I went here for dinner last night and felt the food was very average and not at all worth the $50 bill. She ordered the crabcake sandwich and I ordered the fish and chips. Her crabcake was not even close to the standard of a Baltimore crabcake and my fish and chips were very average, not much... More

Stopped in for dinner at the recommendation of a hotel employee. I certanily was not disappointed. Food menu had a fair amount of variety and the beer menu was overwhelming. Not a hube beer drinker, I ordered and amber brew and was politely satisfied. Decided to keep it simple and ordered the Ale House burger. Thick seasoned patty cooked to... More

I am an ordinary everyday person. I get up, go to work and come home in the evening either to cook or go out. Other than the chain restaurants, most solo/privately owned restaurants try to be fancy, white gloved, white tablecloths, with prices to match.. The Ale House Columbia is just plain old nice. A place you do not have... More

We all got a selection of food ranging from burger to salad to noodles to steak. Food was properly cooked. Service was good. Atmosphere is nice. Not sure why they are always packed as the food is so varied and not really specialized. They've got flatbread pizzas and Mexican food, too.

Ok food, mediocre service, crowded, and weird seating. The pretzel was good, but everything else was so/so. I haven't felt inclined to go back after visiting just once though. Our waitress was nice, but she was clearly assigned too many tables. If you're going to watch a game, I think you'll have a better experience.

18 of us ate at The Ale House: both the food and service were excellent! We tried all of their appetizers and loved them all. I had the crabcakes; they were very good. We dined during the Christmas holidays, and we still received excellent service. I look forward to going back!!

Great food. Great beer. The 3 Lions Strong Brown Ale was pretty good. The bartender was very helpful in providing suggestions from their extensive draft selections.

Our first time here and will go back. Tried the beer flight and really enjoyed the Blackberry and Pear Cidar. Skip the peach... The Kapittal Winter and Allaghash were great too! Had the tofu, fish and pork tacos. Would skip the pork tacos next time though. And had chicken buffalo flat bread which was good. Lots of choices and good... More

The crab cakes here we not the best. I could barely taste any crab in it. Tha mashpotatoes had a lot of pepper in it as well. I have eaten here before but today the food was not as great as it used to be.
