I enjoy Vietnamese food and consequently like to expose my friends to new flavors. While ambiance may not be romantic or upscale, the food is good and I have never had a friend leave disappointed. Most ask to return.

Awesome variety of offerings, and everything really great & generous portions. Also very reasonable in price. Although the wait staff may not linger much for pleasantries, I've always found them very helpful & efficient. I love the way this restaurant doesn't mess around. They get people served, fed & out the door. I love that! It is my first local... More

Why I am writing this review? I had to search for stories of this place being so entirely rude & racist! In Columbia MD, I have not found another Pho restaurant, so I have been tolerant of their poor service and unprofessional actions. I will no longer eat there. Also, I do not lobby the claim of racism lightly. On... More

It has an enormous menu. I give it three and not four stars only because, while some dishes are outstanding, others are disappointing because they are so bland. You have to eat here a few times to get a sense of what to order. It's always crowded for lunch, but the wait for a table is not long. You can... More

I was in Columbia for business and stayed in a hotel nearby. After reading mixed reviews at TripAdvisor.com, I decided to give this restaurant a try. I ordered spring rolls, grilled beef, rice noodle soup (#1 on the pho menu), and a mango smoothy. The food is generally decent, fresh and tasty, especially the grilled beef and noodle soup. The... We used to be regulars here - even up until a month ago we'd come here once a week and order pho (#9 brisket) and their fried rice. The quality of food is inconsistent - what was always consistent was the TERRIBLE Service. It's insulting how they ignore you. We walked in today and were ignored. While the place absolutely... More

My husband and I made the trip to spend a frugal morning in Columbia, MD. We'd already spent well over an hour at Daedelus Books on Gerwig Road (a huge outlet bookstore with a GREAT variety of good books for all ages and interests...bibliophiles should definitely check it out). Then, hungry for lunch, we decided to try Pho Dat Thanh,... More

My friend and I tend to end up here at least monthly. The broth for the pho is amazing. We especially enjoy the grilled beef and summer rolls appetizer. That grilled beef is the best I've had. The dip for the summer rolls is first rate, not the sickly sweet molasses tasting concoction at other pho restaurants in the region.... More

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday at noon. It was not too crowded. We ordered two Pho plates and one dish of "summer roll" (their name for spring rolls). The hostess greeting patrons at the entrance as well as our own waitress both looked and acted unhappy, if not plain rude! So, to start with, the service wasn't great,... More

My favorite for pho....lots of veggies, good base stock, wide variety of meats.....flavor that with some extra "chicken" red sauce and it's enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Other good choices: chicken salad, summer rolls, spring rolls, and dinner special. We do carryout from here a LOT!
