Recently enjoyed supper here on a lovely summer's evening. Bar service was friendly and helpful and the food was of excellent quality although not cheap. I had a goat curry which was delicious whilst the other half enjoyed the gnocchi. The weather was perfect for outside dining and the garden has great atmosphere. I will eat here again

We went to the George & Dragon recently for late lunch and the service was very slow - no reason given nor an apology offered. Ordered the Mediterranean mezes for 2 people (main course) which turned out to be barely adequate for one and at £24.95 could hardly be called value for money.

Fordwich is a beautiful village and the George +-Dragon is a perfect ingredient that serves delicious food in idyllic surroundings and unlike certain neighboring pubs welcomes customers From an extensive menu which changes daily so is freshly prepared, my friend had the Scallops and I chose the Risotto which was fantastic.. We then totally decadent and had a "sharing desert"... More

Went to the George and Dragon recently and was amazed at the transformation the place has had since my last visit................it's now very welcoming with a bit of class added. The menu is pretty extensive now with some delightful dishes served, and all served in a very rustic setting with all that you would expect from a country pub/restaurant including... More

My son is at university in Canterbury and took us to this pub for a family meal. Three adults and a child. It seemed promising with an interesting menu. I had the Prawn mojito cocktail with lime mayonnaise and sliced granary loaf which I though sounded tasty - small amount of prawns with ordinary mayonnaise with a squirt of lime.... More

Ate at lunchtime 4 meals over 40 minutes for food to arrive Goat curry was very good flavour but peas in rice were awful, other meals were very basic nothing special, extremely small portions and food is way over priced not value for money

A family of 5 adults and 2 small children visited for dinner. The first pleasant surprise was the number of real ales on offer and when one ran out it was replaced by a new, different one. The barman and the Landlord were both able to describe the beers on offer which helped us making a choice. The dining room... More

This pub/restaurant has been our local years and our first choice for family celebrations. Recently the quality of the food has declined, the amount of food has reduced and it has started to seem very expensive for what you get. I believe that this is because the menu has become too ambitious and some of the good basic filling meals... More
