My son is at university in Canterbury and took us to this pub for a family meal. Three adults and a child. It seemed promising with an interesting menu. I had the Prawn mojito cocktail with lime mayonnaise and sliced granary loaf which I though sounded tasty - small amount of prawns with ordinary mayonnaise with a squirt of lime.... More

Ate at lunchtime 4 meals over 40 minutes for food to arrive Goat curry was very good flavour but peas in rice were awful, other meals were very basic nothing special, extremely small portions and food is way over priced not value for money

Stopped by for lunch and had the goat curry and it was superb, the levels of spice and flavour where awesome it was dancing all over my tongue.

A family of 5 adults and 2 small children visited for dinner. The first pleasant surprise was the number of real ales on offer and when one ran out it was replaced by a new, different one. The barman and the Landlord were both able to describe the beers on offer which helped us making a choice. The dining room... More

This pub/restaurant has been our local years and our first choice for family celebrations. Recently the quality of the food has declined, the amount of food has reduced and it has started to seem very expensive for what you get. I believe that this is because the menu has become too ambitious and some of the good basic filling meals... More

We had been coming with friends regularly over the years. On average 2-3 times a week. We are very easy going and don't need much to keep us happy. The beer and food is fine, despite being a little expensive. Great bar area and the garden. The young staff are really nice. However, all of the above is spoilt by... More

During a visit, our local friends hosted a dinner for us at George and Dragon, their favorite restaurant, and they have lived in the area for over 40 years. The wine list was not long but very well selected and we quite enjoyed the wines. The food was similar to excellent neighborhood restaurants we have visited at home and on... More

Came here for Sunday lunch. Pub was busy as was lovely sunny day but service was quick and efficient. Food was tasty, well cooked and perfect temperature. Beer was also well kept. What more do you want from a pub?

Lovely venue- a charming and well kept country pub. However, the food lets it down. Meals are not bad by any stretch of the imagination, but for the price you pay, I expected a lot more...Little things like an uneven amount of fries on two identical meals just feels a bit sloppy. If the price was cheaper I wouldn't have... More
