Business took a group of us to Fordwich, and we had a meal for a large group of us. There is a great choice of beers and Ales, including local tipples. The pub itself is great, with many original features. Food itself was okay, but we generally thought it was a bit expensive for what it was... read more

Delicious food served by lovely people. Unusual beers with a blackboard saying where they come from and how far they have travelled! The landlord and his staff all know what they are doing. We will definitely be going back.

We had a lovely meal in the evening with the warmth from the open fires. The menu had all the traditional pub meals using locally sourced produce. It was prepared beautifully and cooked just right. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being in your face every 5 minutes

The pub always had good atmosphere but in the past the food has let the pub down, thought we give another try, so booked up for Mother's Day as it only a short walk to the pub. Pleasantly surprised the food was excellent. Hat off to chef's. We will return.

This pub always has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. We had booked a table and were shown straight to it. I do find the menu a bit boring and wish they would change it, but that's probably because we have been here quite a few times. The menu is expensive but I had the steak which... More

Visit this pub now and again, normally after going for a walk nearby. It's always rather busy when we do go which is a good sign. As mentioned in other reviews, there are log fires and the pub itself is dog friendly. They have a wide selection of ales, and the same goes for their food menu. We visited here... More

This pub has the most friendly staff, the atmosphere is quentisentual English, lovely log fires and warming soup, the food is delicious, yes I will admit the food is on the expensive side but as they say you get what you pay for, the Chief is brilliant. Dogs are welcome and there are brilliant long walks around, beautiful area so... More

I came here with my brother and his friend We ate in the bar area but you can also eat in the restaurant part. I had the Seabass and thought it was good value and a very nice dish. If i was being picky it could have done with a few more potato's and Samphire. There was a good portion... More

Went here for dinner as a group of 4, service was great & can't fault it, the food was also delicious but just so overpriced for what it is which is a real shame. You can get the same food cheaper in Canterbury city centre or out in the countryside. I would go there again but only if the prices... More
