Not too impressed here. The food was average, the service was average, and the restaurant was average. Try some place else if want good stuff. This place is just to take away the hunger pangs.
This is a lovely spot for a date. Convenient - right at Friendship Heights Metro. The subdued atmosphere and interesting decor is lovely for a date. The food is delicious and lighter than at some Indian restaurants. Would be a nice place for friends to meet as well.
I have had the chicken and lamb curry lunch boxes before - they come with spinach and rice, all dishes were not too greasy or heavy and flavorful. Beautiful decor with lots of treasures all around the restaurant, which adds to experience.

They are stingy with the Naan bread (which always mystifies me, since you'd think they would rather I fill up on bread than the meat...

Excellent food. Nice and spicy. Naan was great. Unassuming front but nice decor inside. Service was great and very helpful. Highly recommend. Some of the best and most authentic Indian food I have had in a long time.
