Very Good Restaurant

Wonderful restaurant offering from the very good local Chef Geoffs' chain. Chef Geoff happens to be the husband of CBS's gorgeous anchor Nora O'Donnell. That bit of trivia aside, each of the restaurants in the group are very good in their own right and Lia's is no exception. Located in Chevy... read more

I had dinner at the bar on a Sunday night. There seemed to be some drama going on as the bartender and server were having some personnel discussions in front of me which was uncomfortable. The burger I had was pretty good, but overall it wasn't a great experience.

Our bartender/waiter was very friendly. I ordered the salmon with mashed cauliflower, pine nuts and capers dish. Loved it! I would go back and try the other items on the menu. Great location, too, with nice shops just across the street.

The service and food are great and it is a bit more affordable at lunch time. Great happy hour at the bar as well. The grilled cheese could have been hotter and it would have been nicer if they offered multigrain bread. Otherwise it was superb.

We went to dinner here with some friends. The lighting was sterile, the noise from the bar was distracting, and the chairs were hard as the place did not seem to want the customers to linger for a long time after dinner. One in our party ordered a draft beer and the waiter seemed unknowledgeable on the daily inventory. When... More

this is a frequent standby for us as it is a 10 minute walk from our house. The food is basic American fare at moderate prices. Indoor seating is a bit close so don't plan on a very private conversation and do plan on overhearing your neighbors. Outdoor seating is not lovely scenery but tables are further apart and more... Good service and not too noisy. Ate there twice. The first night the food was much better than the second night. My veal Picatta was tough and dried out.

We had octopus with beef dish and homemade sausages and pickled mushrooms to start. These were fantastic. I ordered... More

Nice Italian/comfort w/gourmet kids menu. Many good choices for adults. Bacon Bar specials in the summer on Wed./Thurs. nights, incl. chilled tomato soup w/bacon, fried tomato sliders w/ bacon. Eat al fresco in the summer. If you manage to dine for dinner on the early side before 6:30 pm, any day of the week, ask about the twilight special: appetizer,... More

Haven't been here in awhile--and now I remember why. The food is pretty good, but pricey. The service was ok, but a tad slow. Best thing--validated parking.
