Clyde's is an old Washington standby. It's menu is very diverse -- something for everyone and at every price point. But, it feels a bit like a factory and the menu offerings could use a refresh. It's definitely not the place to go if you are looking for a unique, innovative dining experience. I like the crabcake although it's a... More

The menu has been relatively unchanged for years. Dishes are quite satisfactory—with a classic American orientation--but without real creativity or pizzazz. The bread is served warm, but it soft and wan. Service is generally very good and friendly, and the environment, with a travel theme, is both pleasant and interesting for everyone—from kids to jaded adults. Value is fair but... More

...we have visited this Clyde's and several others in their group and have always been satisfied.....BUT.....on a recent Monday night sojourn there, when the restaurant was practically empty, we were extremely disappointed! I order a reuben sandwich...they were OUT....My son in law ordered half rack of ribs...they were OUT! We settled on cheeseburgers...they were good...except We asked for some mayonnaise... More

Just had lunch at Clyde's as part of a large party celebrating a recent college graduate. I was impressed with the decor, lots of fine, dark wood paneling, brass and wonderful scale model sport cars and ships. Further, although the restaurant is very large, it is separated in sections so at lest on my visit, the noise level was remarkably... More

Interior is livened by large ship and airplane models (3' for ships, many of them replicas of ocean liners, 4-6' airplanes)and make for fun time wandering around looking at and discussing. This IS a white tablecloth venue, so think eye-catching not kitsch. Excellent menu variety, especially at brunch, prepared well and thoughtfully. Staff are good-natured, attentive, and resourceful. A lovely... More

My family of 4 recently dined at Clyde's while staying at the nearby Embassy Suites, thinking we'd try something different than Cheesecake Factory or other chains. The service and food at Clyde's were simply horrible. The kids meals were reheated, lumpy Kraft mac and cheese, and frozen pizza. Our wine took almost half an hour to arrive, and when it... More

this Clyde's has a transportation theme - despite vast spaces the dense decor and booths still manage a clubby feel. Prices are always moderate, service and food dependable. It's a place to meet friends and family without worry - the menu generally has something for everyone. In addition to standard fare there are seasonal specials -in September the lobster meal... More

It’s tricky to find the first time, despite being right on Wisconsin Avenue, so get directions! Sunday parking was convenient and inexpensive, at $3. We had a reservation and the restaurant was not full, although it was busy. It’s a nice menu, combining breakfast and lunch items both traditional, Eggs Benedict, and regional, Eggs Maryland (with, you guessed it, crab!)... More

Here on vaca one block away. Great meal with Bison burger and my wife had the Ruben. Corned beef was very lean and delicious. Great beer selection. Would have been 5 stars but waitress had no personality
