Nice dining experience, a few updates needed

Been dining here on and off all my life, living in the vicinity. Recent lunch, food good, nicely presented and served, not rushed. Fellow diners around us were older, well heeled. Soufflés live up to their reputation. The decor needs freshening, time to remove dried flowers, paint, re-upholster... read more

We have lived in Potomac, MD for 20 years and this was our first time dining at La Ferme. I am not sure why we have not dined there before, but it was great ! The COE award is well earned as the food, service and dining room were excellent.

This was a wedding anniversary dinner and the perfect place to celebrate. Everyone's meal was outstanding. I ordered the filet and it was flavorful, tender--not a morsel left on the plate. The service was impeccable. Even the pianist came to the table to take requests.

The experience here was very refined and quiet. A live pianist played while we ate, and we had several servers tending to us constantly. Most were polite but avoided eye contact, which caught me off guard, but they never let our drinks go empty and were always courteous. The food was well presented. We all got starters -- salads and... More

Excellent food served by knowledgeable waiters. ( e.g. A member of our party inquired about a cognac soufflé, as opposed to a grand mariner one. The waiter said the cognac one was a little too granular and didn't set so well. Suggested a plain one with a side of G.M.

We have been coming here for years and each visit is better than the last. The food and service is superb for lunch, dinner or even a party. Add La Ferme to you must visit list, and you will glad that you did.

Soufflés live up to their reputation. The decor needs freshening, time to remove dried flowers, paint, re-upholster, re-drape. A luncheon pris-fixe menu would be nice.

La Ferme is a warm and cozy atrractive restaurant that serves satisfying food at reasonable prices. It is a throwback to restaurants of old, with excellent service and a charming atmosphere. There is a lot to choose from on the menu, from fish to meats to pasta to a daily risotto. I usually only go for business lunch. It's been... More

We have been going to La Ferme for years, and always on New Years Eve. We have NEVER gone there that wasn't a serene, satisfying, and lovely time capped by a delicious meal. It is the most dependable restaurant that we know of. You just KNOW that you're going to have a good time. The service is continually good, the... More

My wife and I had dinner there last night. The decor and the service were wonderful. I ordered liver which was excellent. My wife order dover sole which she loves. We started with a caesar's salad which was very good. The dover sole was served properly but the taste according to the mrs. tasted like someone poured cod liver oil... More
