Filet Mignon is consistently good and the wine selections are excellent

I dine at the Capitol Grille several times a year and have sampled many of the dishes. Some of the steaks are on the dry side but the filet mignon is consistently excellent. That is what I ordered this evening and it did not disappoint. Our waiter was attentive, had a great sense of humor, and... read more

The food here is always very good, large portions and a bit pricey, but the service is very erratic. We've had excellent service, but a private party for 10 people turned into disaster. The server forgot about us, first not taking our order, then no one came back to clear main course dishes. It took two of our guests complaining... More

This place obviously spent a lot on its decor and then stopped paying attention. We stopped in for a very late lunch on a rainy day and thought it looked cozy and welcoming. The few lunch choices were a bit pricey, but we figured we'd just relax, enjoy the atmosphere, and wait for a break in the weather. Wrong. Both... More

Cap Grille is still a consistent bet for steaks, as long as you know what you're going for. I've had dinner there 3 times in the last 2 months (business and friends) and it's been consistently good. they have great calamari and salads. id probably pass on the shellfish platter. As far as entrees go I've had the bone in... More

For the second and last time, my husband and I waited patiently in the bar area sipping our martinis as two bar seats were being cleared and readied for us. During that period another couple walks in, sees the two empty seats and thinks it is their lucky day. Unfortunately, the numerous bar staff bumbling around could not communicate effectively... Ate dinner here for New Years Eve and it was excellent! The atmosphere of this restaurant is very classy yet cozy. I felt welcomed by the staff and the manager Matt took time out of his night to stop by our table and ask about our experience. Its those types of personal touches that make this restaurant worth it's "high"... More

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner celebrating our 37th. wedding anniversary. The food was exquisite, the wine selection was extraordinary, the service was great, as well ad the dessert and the after dinner drinks. The dinner was very romantic and the manager provided a complimentary cake. The table was prepared specifically for the occasion. We could not ask... More

As always, a delight to dine there, the service is very good and extremely attentive. The Lobster bisque is always a great choice. Lunch menus have a wide variety of offerings, are moderately priced and are served quickly.

I go to this restaurant about once or twice a year. I was there yesterday with friends for a Christmas lunch. I ordered the filet and it was terrific, albeit a bit under cooked based on my request. For $29 all I got was one side. I chose the truffle French fries that have always been a favorite of mine--I... More

Visited 3 times this week and earlier in the month as well. Great table service twice from Sherman who has great knowledge of the food and recommendations based on my preferences. Brenda served me at the bar and at dinner and is another pro server. The guys behind the bar being John and Jason are great. The demonic cut is... More
