Convenient to the Howard Johnson, but not really good

Despite the mixed reviews we went there with the family for dinner of a Friday evening. Restaurant was rather quiet, seems more focused on business travelers staying at the HoJo during the week. We all had different kinds of pasta. Nothing was really convincing - okay, but you would expect things... read more

Ended up twice at Fratelli's this weekend and both times had excellent meals - the calamari was outstanding and so was the stuffed trout. On Sunday, I had to arrange a last minute breakfast for 15 and Fratellis was the right choice. The buffet starts at 11 and has breakfast and lunch items - as well as a cook preparing... More

Walked in. Noticed about 6 tables seated. Waited 4 minutes to be get a table. Sat for 5 minutes then we were given water. Waited 6 minutes and left. Also, it smelled like pee and coffee.

I'm so disappointed after living in Cheverly for over 20+ years and never visiting Fratelli's, against the advice of several of my neighbors, to stay away from Fratelli's me and some friends went there for dinner. Here's my take on this local neighborhood dive: 1.) the establishment it self is in need of a serious make-over, panelling and 1940's tile... More

This review is only of the bar at the restaurant, as I did not order food. I went to the bar, because people I was with said the table service was slow, and happened to stand in front of a large bottle of Tanqueray gin. I decided to order a Tanqueray gin and tonic. Two different people came out of... More

We are always surprised that more people have not discovered this family owned and operated restaurant near DC. We love the friendly and caring service, the real tablecloths, and the affordable prices for consistently good food. My favorite - trout stuffed with crabmeat. My husband's - regatoni and sausage. The mussels and calamari appetizers are always delicious and the salad... More

When we arrived at this restaurant there was a party of 20 people and 2 more tables of 5-6 patrons each. Two waiters slowly made their turns. It took them 15 min to even ask. Another 40 min to bring the first appetizer. Of course, they forgot drinks. Multiple times. Finally the food arrived. Not bad, but not great either.... More

This is my favorite restaurant in the area. You can always get in. The service is excellent. Its family owned and operated and I always feel as if I am part of it. If you have a bad meal here its because youre doing something wrong or you dont like good food. Try the stuffed trout, the cappelini pescatore, the... More

Was not impressed with the spaghetti sauce. Husband had spinach ravioli type dish and enjoyed it, but everything was much more expensive than back home. Service was good, but glad we went in about 6 as a bus group came in at 7, so it would have been much slower.

I had scallops, shrimp and pasta dish. I had only 1 scallop total in my whole dish and 3 shrimp. I was disappointed, i really wanted scallops and the dish was stingy. My kids had salmon and stuffed trout and they loved it!!!! Staying at the hotel next door they gave us a discount. I would eat there again for... More
