Love the name and that's about it.

Cool location, cool name. There were 5 of us for lunch. Portion size was fine but there was little attention given to the quality and preparation of the food. The quacamole that came with the quesadilla was greenish brown and the oysters were pretty warm when they were served. The only good dish... read more

We were in Chestertown recently and had the pleasure of stopping in at the Fish Whistle for an early dinner. It is a large restaurant and wasn't very busy as the temperatures were near zero. I was expecting to have to wear my coat throughout the meal (past bad experiences in drafty restaurants). I was pleasantly surprised to be seated... More

I used to come here when it was "The Wharf." Probably better now. Sesame-crusted tuna was superb with a beautiful presentation.

This restaurant has outstanding service with reasonable prices. There crab cakes are very good. There wings are excellent with a lot of meat. They have a lot of seasonal dishes. Deserts are freshly made they are good are blueberry crumb and bread pudding. All of the food is freshly prepared. They also have a bar and a DJ. The drinks... More

My husband and I had lunch at The Fish Whistle yesterday (1/17/15). What a great find! He ordered the Cuban sandwich with a side of French fries; I had the fish taco. Both meals were fantastic. His fries were second only to those at Rue de Jean in Charleston, SC. Absolutely perfect! They were clearly fried using the Belgian method... More

We had a lovely evening at the Fish Whistle where we enjoyed an early dinner of Cioppino and roasted duck breast. The Cioppino was nicely prepared with tender scallops, shrimp done just right, and tender clams - delicious. My wife's roast duck breast on risotto was beautifully prepared. The service was friendly and very attentive. Overall - a great experience.

We stopped at the Fish Whistle for lunch on a cold December day. Our waitress was prompt and courteous, though a bit abrupt. I ordered the oyster stew and hoped for the best. I was delighted when my lunch arrived--simply the richest and best oyster stew I've ever eaten. My wife's lunch was equally good. The view of the marina... More

A very enjoyable dinner for 4 of us at the Fish Whistle...All of our meals were excellent. The service was quite friendly and prompt. We had a window seat and watched the sunset over the river. Highly recommended...

Have been here a few time and it's normally pretty good. I had ordered a Whistle Burger for lunch and it tasted just like a frozen patty. Not sure I'll go back.

We were looking around Rock Hall at some real estate. We decided to look for a place to eat dinner in Chestertown. My wife likes waterfront so we tried The Fish Whistle. It was a cold Sunday night most of the activity was in the bar which also looked very nice. We choose a table next to the windows over... More
