The Fish Whistle is located on the Chester River at Chestertown, MD. While enjoying wonderfully prepared food, you can enjoy the constantly changing views over the river. The variety of boats is incredible this time of year. The food is a bit pricy, but the quality is really there. The crabcakes are excellent as is everything that I have tried.... More

We eat here all the time. Food is like any other restaurant. Sometimes food is overcooked, but we just tell the waitress to redo it please. Price is right.

This restaurant was recommended as one to eat at by the Visitor Center staff. Being told that it was on the water was very inviting on a beautiful July day. Myself and my husband walked in and asked the hostess if we could sit on the deck, she walked away to check and came back and said, "sure just seat... More

7-25-2014 our party of 6 adults and 3 toddlers arrived @ about 1 pm. Seated at a large booth just inside the door, little water view. No soft crabs, rock fish or shrimp salad. Some settled for a crab cakes, tasted like it was fried in old oil. Other entries were bland and equally as disappointing. Our lunch bill @... More

For those reading reviews of horrible service, we were greeted promptly and courteously. Seated immediately at lunch time on a weekend and order taken. Our food took a while but they were busy and there was a steady flow of beautifully prepared meals processing by our table. Great views of the schooner Sultana and river while we waited. Food did... This review only pertains to its operation at Haven Harbor Marina's restaurant - not its Chestertown location. My party of 4 stopped in for dinner on 7/5. There was no hostess to seat us. We found a table and seated ourselves. We waited and waited and waited for someone to acknowledge us and brings menus. A waiter stopped by after... More

We only had the crab soup and salad, but it was a great experience. Do not miss this restaurant when you are in Chestertown. Be sure to take a walk along Water Street to view the stately historic properties and gardens before or after your meal.

Went there last Sunday, the 23rd of June. There were 14 people in my party and we received terrible servers and service, the cook must be on drugs, we received either over cooked food that was burnt and dry or under cooked food that was frozen on the inside. It wasn't an act, they did not want to serve us... More

We had a rehearsal dinner at The Fish Whistle and found it to be one of the best dinners we have ever had. The bacon-wrapped scallops were absolutely perfect. Additionally, the owner catered the wedding dinner the next day and again, everything was excellent. The restaurant is located right on the Chester River and has wonderful views. Casual dress is... My husband and I decided to drive south through the eastern shore and Fish Whistle was our stop for breakfast/brunch. We had 5.00 mimosas and my husband had the frittata and I had the Belgian waffles. Both were good. We sat out back and were entertained by the view and a boat full of people who had to be towed...
