Nice place on the water with lovely views of the Chester River. Large menu with a large selctin of beers. Standard seafood items and multiple specials. Oyster Stew was milk based with good flavor served in a very large bowl and filled with whole oysters. This was a meal in itself. We also ordered the jambalaya which had a large... More

The venue and food was average, but the view while dining was terrific. Really reminds you of why folks like to visit and live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

It's an old established family restaurant where you'll see lots of locals, very busy, really friendly staff, nothing fancu but you'll leave full and satisfied.

Stopped here for a snack prior to a soccer game at Washington College. Excellent fish, good beer and a friendly staff. Great location by the river as well.

The Fish Whistle is bustling and popular for a reason. Staff is attentive, food is varied and well prepared, and the dockside view can't be beat. I have enjoyed meals, bar food, and beverages here on multiple occasions. Most recently, a cold and blustery day brought me in for the oyster stew, which was superb!

I have been here several time & yes while the service bar or resturant/outside can be spotty at times I always love the time I spend here. This visit we sat in the bar side and just had drinks & apps. About 10 tables plus the bar & 2 servers....its a little much to ask of anyone in my opinion... More

This was my first visit to this restaurant. I expected more. The crab cake was average. One of the specials for the day was a Mexican relent. It was such a small portion that I was still hungry. The service was good.

This was our first visit to Chestertown and after completing the walk of sites suggested by the visitors' center, we were ready for a late lunch! As we walked to the main drag, we were surprised not to find a few more places to eat and decided to go back to the river near where we had parked our car... More

Went to Fish Whistle. Decided to sit outside to enjoy the gorgeous fall afternoon. After we ordered our drinks we were attacked by bee's. Now I understand that you sit outside that this is a chance you take, but while our server was standing at the very next table, as we got up and slowly walked away with our drinks,... More
