Just don't miss the fried oysters!

I've eaten here several times and no matter what I had, the fried oysters were a huge highlight. The watermelon and feta salad was a great starter on a hot night as well.

We visited Chestertown on a whim. We didn't have dinner reservations and dreamt for locals to let us know of a good spot. We were recommended to this restaurant from a local business owner who used to hail from our hood in Philadelphia. Boy, are we glad we tried it. I had the swordfish which was encrusted in Parmesan cheese... More

I just moved to Chestertown and The Kitchen is luckily very close by. I recently had the lamb shanks with mashed red potatoes and could not have been more pleased! I have tried lamb all around the globe and found none better than here!!!.

We have been here twice recently--both times for dinner and both times with a group. The restaurant is under new ownership and it's a great change. The owner and chef, Steve, makes it a point to visit with his customers and is full of personality. He wants his guests to enjoy the experience and it shows. Among us, we've had... More

Walking around Chestertown, we saw outdoor tables with shade. So, we decided to have a bit of lunch. My wife had flatbread with carmelized onions, mushrooms and cheese. It was excellent. I had probably the best corned beef reuben I ever had, and I lived in New York for most of my life. The pile of meat had no fat... More

In the last six months, I dined there at least three times. Each time, knowing that they haven't been there very long I keep expecting it to improve. Unfortunately it remains flat at best. Dinner on Friday night was disappointing at best. Flat Bread that was truly flat, no flavor or excitement. A slice of frozen pizza might have been... More

We were happy to see that the Kitchen in Rock Hall found a new home in Chestertown. We love the food, the service, and the location on High Street.

Entered w/o a reservation & the 3 of us sat @ a table in the bar. Apparently the outside tables were reserved, therefore, we had just 2 tables (both in the bar) to choose from. We waited 45 minutes between courses & when the mashed potatoes came out they were stone cold! I had to get up out of my... More

I had a post-wedding dinner reception at the Kitchen, and the staff did a fantastic job. The food was amazing, and the owner was great about helping me keep it all within budget. His staff set up the room and the tables just beautifully. It was breath-taking. Overall, everyone at the Kitchen was extremely accommodating and pleasant to work with.... More
