I had a post-wedding dinner reception at the Kitchen, and the staff did a fantastic job. The food was amazing, and the owner was great about helping me keep it all within budget. His staff set up the room and the tables just beautifully. It was breath-taking. Overall, everyone at the Kitchen was extremely accommodating and pleasant to work with.... More

Lovely birthday dinner with my husband. The food was good - in the case of the crab soup, superb - and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely ask to be placed at one of Ron's tables.

Trying too hard to be the Imperial's Front Room, and failing. Happy hour menu is a joke and apparently geared towards the 90's (grasshoppers?!?) and not even a deal. Wine list is very small, and bar is limited. Food is good and local, but a bit overpriced and amateurishly prepared. Plate and sides came hot and dry as if they'd... More

Went yesterday to celebrate a friend's birthday. Brunch was so so. I had eggs Benedict and have had far better. We ordered fruit as our side and were served potatoes. Fruit was brought and we were charged extra for it although when brought to the attention of the server he adjusted our bill. I probably will go the restaurant for... More

We loved The Kitchen in Rock Hall and were very disappointed to see it gone when traveling back to Rock Hall. We then found out they moved to nearby Chestertown so we went there at the end of the trip. Happy to see they still serve great food.

A great restaurant run by an energetic young chef who has a following among foodies in the area. The ambiance is wonderful--in an old Hotel (The Imperial Hotel was built in the early 1900s in a style ---colonial--that fits with the historical buildings dating from the 1700s (Chestertown was founded in 1706 as a major harbor on the Chesapeake Bay... My wife and I had the soft shell crab and it was the best that we've ever had! Met the chef the night before while having a late drink and after talking to him we came back the following evening for dinner. We were not disappointed, amazing meal. We sat outdoors which we love and added to the experience of... More

While spending a long weekend with my sister in Chestertown I had a superb meal at the Kitchen. It was a lovely evening and we sat on the beautiful terrace. We both ordered the soft shell crabs and they were honestly the best I've ever had! They were cooked perfectly, meaty and very tasty. The service was great (I believe... More
