Good Place for a Quiet Dinner

Quiet place on the evening we dined there. The Chef came to our table to discuss vegetarian options for my wife. The food was very good, as was the service. Would recommend it.

I recently ordered lunch "to go" thinking it would be really good coming from the resturaunt at this historic downtown hotel, considering how much it cost to stay overnight there. Boy was I wrong. I ordered a BLT with avacado. I was speechless when I saw that sorry excuse for a sandwich. I have NEVER gotten a BLT from anywhere... More

I am sorry that you were dissatisfied with your BALT and the amount of bacon on it. We do only use two slices, as we have been doing for years. The slices we use however are more than twice the thickness of most/any bacon you will find in any other restaurant. We actually drive over 50 miles each direction to... More

We went to The Kitchen for Mothers' Day dinner. I ordered three cheese pasta from the weekly specials menu and my husband had trout almandine. His was passable but tasteless. For a restaurant that has pretensions of fine dining, they should have been embarrassed to have served me an unappetisingly large chunk of baked ziti, burned on the bottom, dried... More

The Kitchen at the Imperial is our go-to restaurant in Chestertown. Our recent meal there had four of us enjoying perfectly done trout Amandine, best crab cakes, scallops on butternut squash risotto and ah, succulent lamb chops! The staff is always friendly and on this night worked quickly to enable us to leave in time for a concert. Would definitely... More

Went for lunch on a Saturday, it was beautiful outside so we sat at a table out front. The servers were helping each other out so we got to know them both (Ron & Taylor), both were very attentive and pleasant. My husband had the crab soup which he raved about and also the sliders. Being im not a big... More

Awesome service, food and ambiance! We have visited a couple times and you won't be disappointed. This is one of our favorite dinner venues in town.

We stopped at this restaurant on our way home from one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. The staff were amazingly friendly and warm. The restaurant is in a historic building that is beautifully appointed, but not pretentious. It was one of the first beautiful days of the season, so we chose to dine outside at one of... More

One of the best restaurants if not THE best restaurant on the eastern shore of Maryland. The seasonal menu changes often but absolutely loved the scallops, trout amandine, fried oysters, carnitas taco (melted in my mouth), ice cream (homemade in-house), and creme brulee. If the creme brulee is on the dessert menu the night you go, you have to get... More

We went to dinner at the Kitchen at the last minute. We were nicely greeted, and seated at the front window in the bar area. The bartender had a very loud ongoing conversations with not only the woman at the bar, but also with the waitstaff and other employees. We ordered from the tapas menu. I had the chicken patê...
