A Century-old Chestertown lodging featuring rooms with period furnishings, a restaurant, bar & a garden courtyard was our stop after a day of cycling. The all you can eat pasta and the Happy Hour oysters were a fantastic deal. I liked that the restaurant was able to adjust my meal to address dietary restrictions. The outdoor seating area is nice... The dining room at the Imperial Hotel was recommended to us by the proprietor at The Brampton Inn as she knew that we wanted soft shell crabs and that they offered them on their menu at this time of year. The hotel is very historic and charming. Our dinner was lovely…charming server, nice wine list and delicious food!

The Imperial Hotel has been there for close to 100 years. It is now a fine restaurant with a small lovely bar and an excellent 'Bloody Mary' bar. The best anywhere. Various condiments and tomato based juices with various flavors. The meals are very good, offer many delicious specials, as well as old time favorites. I have not spent a... More

great place to stop on the way home from church. Food is very good, service is excellent, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is perfect. You get to just sit down at a comfortable table and relax your way through a good meal. No pressure, service is timely, and you get to gaze out the window and watch what's... More

We have been to the Imperial before and liked it. Maybe it was an off night? It was a Sunday and the place was very empty. All of my food was tasty, the salad was local greens with a watermelon radish. Scallops were also yummy. One of our guests on the other hand had the fish & chips and they... More

Whether you want a delicious meal in a lovely dining room, a casual snack outside or a fabulous cocktail in a cozy and welcoming historic bar this is the place. We love the bloody Mary bar for Sunday brunch or oysters at happy hour with a classic cocktail. Some how we always find a reason to stop when driving by... More

A great place to enjoy a meal - a very nice one - in Chestertown MD. Historic and charming along with great service personnel make for a very enjoyable meal or snack. Fantastic $ 12.00 hamburger, with meat from a locally renown supplier - Crow Farms - will make this burger quite memorable. Want just appetizers, Oysters in season on... More

This is the old style hotel on the high street ... Classic surroundings. Not a huge menu but oysters and fish a speciality as it's on the Chesapeake Bay, priced for a special meal out. Pavement seating and a nice courtyard for drinks and bar style meals. Great cocktail happy hour!

Went for dinner and had the lamb chops which were incredible. My companions that night also raved about their dishes. Found the service to be top notch. I would definitely go there again.

The food was great, the waitress friendly and the hotel was so full of history! The dinner selections we had were fresh and presented well. Another member of our party who arrived late was promptly taken care of and his food arrived right behind ours - excellent work, kitchen staff!
