We stopped by old town Chestertown (this is not located at Acme strip mall). Reminds us of old town Alexandria (near where we live) - smaller scale but no traffic (yay). Good pastries- kids loved sun bun and choco chunk cookie; I enjoyed chai latte. Just wished they had different beverage sizes- would have gotten a large!

Skip Subway and head to the bakery. This is a good one albeit the sandwiches are not made to order. When we showed up for lunch supplies prior to a boat ride on the Chester River there were two sandwiches: turkey w/roast peppers, mustard on a roll and a veggie special - feta, and other veggies. ($6-$7 each and worth... More

This is a true gathering spot for locals and tourists alike. The breads are magnificent, the pastries, which vary depending on the day, are way too-good, and the coffee is delicious. Evergrain is open Tuesday - Sunday (wish it was open everyday, but understand why not). Lovely outdoor tables on the sidewalk, terrific communal farmhouse tables, mixed with smaller set-ups,... More

We can only comment on the molasses cookies here which were extremely delicious. Everything else looks good too and if we hadn't just had a huge brunch across the street, we would have bought and devoured more. If we're ever in Chestertown again, we'll definitely be back for more!

While visiting and walking through Chestertown with my wife, we decided to stop in the Evergrain Bread Company for a snack. Just two cookies to go, but they were sure good cookies. The spice cookies was one of the best we have ever had. So good, that we are still talking about it three weeks later. If we are ever... More

There sweets are amazing, but that is really all they have. Wish there website showed more of what they have. Alsk wish their food would last longer in the store after 11am. Dislike how they are closed Monday and tuesday.

The bread was really good. I also enjoyed the molasses and oatmeal raisin cookies. I was just disappointed that they were closed most of the week and open weekends, as I was in the area Monday to Friday.

This is a darling little cafe, with both indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and sit where you want. They serve a variety of lattes, etc - I got a nutella latte and YUM! They also serve fresh baked breads and pastries, as well as sandwiches on their bread. I got an avocado/feta/tomato sandwich and a chocolate... More

Stopped in here on a Sunday morning to try what all of the hype is about. Raspberry muffin was very good, and definitely worth a try. I also tried one of the sun buns that was glazed on the top, it was just okay. Girls working the counter were very nice, and the place was definitely busy. Turn off are... More
