On a two week vacation in Chestertown, we’ve had a number of meals at the Lemon Leaf (and JR’s pub, which is connected and which has the same menu). The food is consistently good value for money (crab cakes are very, very good if not quite as delicious as those at the Blue Heron but still…quite acceptable, there’s delicious chicken... More

Today's visit was a disappointment! We have had breakfast here on several occasions, and even when very busy, we were very pleased with service and food. Today they missed the mark. Service was not very good. 3 of us had the WC Oarman's Breakfast, and the fourth was poached eggs and toast. All 4 meals were brought to the table... More

I am so glad we had reservations. The were four in our party and we were seated quickly. We shared the crab, spinach, artichoke in a bread-bowl appetizer which was loaded with lumps of crab. The bread-bowl was fresh and was the perfect size for the four of us. Two of us got the crab cakes and the other two... More

We were at Great Oak Manor Inn just outside of Chestertown for a two-day B&B stay. Disappointingly, it rained almost all of the time we were there (until, of course, we were ready to leave). The innkeeper at Great Oak (who, by the way, was great and prepared a fabulous breakfast each of the two mornings we were there) suggested... More

Love this place for breakfast. Great food, nice service, and a great atmosphere. Was afraid when they moved they would not be able to maintain a great atmosphere but they managed it.

Enjoyed a great lunch here with a friend recently. Cute atmosphere, fantastic shrimp salad stuffed into a delicious tomato. The waiter told us that the chef spends a lot of time picking out nice tomatoes, and we were not disappointed. Service was excellent. I had wanted to dine on the water but the food more than made up for the... More

Lunch offered us several options - the crab cakes are incredible and the other offerings are excellent. Service is very good-our wait person was very funny with an edgy sense of humor that we all enjoyed.

The Lemon Leaf Cafe is on the verge of becoming something really special. This lovely restaurant on Chestertown's High Sweet announces its presence with lemon topiaries out front. Lemon yellow napkins, a welcoming hostess and attentive service set the table, so to speak, of a really nice dining experience. The atmosphere makes you want to linger and the bay window... More

We used to dream of the old days when the Robert Morris Inn in Oxford, MD had the best crab cakes in Maryland until it closed and then came under new management a few years ago. Now those incredible crab cakes are reincarnated in Chestertown at the Lemon Leaf Cafe! All lump crabmeat- no back fin and no bread filler-... More

Chestertown is worth a visit. It's a pre-revolution mostly brick town like many others south of the Mason-Dixon. This restaurant was full, but not crowded at 1 PM on a week day. Everything was nice. Save time for a walk along the Chester River.
