A little pricey in the upstairs dining area. Cute little bar downstairs. The "Hole in the Wall" bar!

Stopped in for lunch. We had a choice of either lunch or brunch because it was Sunday. We chose lunch. I got the French onion soup which was Ok, nothing spectacular. It tasted like a packaged onion soup. Thin broth. My mother got the crab bisque and that was much better. She also got a Reuben sandwich which was tasty... More

The Bayard House is a great place. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere with awesome waterfront views of ships and boats passing by right in front of you. I highly recommend the Bayard House.

I have been eating at this restaurant for over 15 years and live locally. i have always had a good experience until New Year's Eve, 2013. I called a couple weeks in advance to make a reservation and inquire about. The New Year's Eve specials. I was told they had a special for $50 a couple which included surf and... More

Olde Wharf Cottage………….Holiday lights and Activities. This is the first day of our December 4th to the 8th, 2013 Holiday Getaway. I never tell Barb where we are going, or staying…………and as we pulled into the street parking space, I turned and said, “Well, there it is.” Her lower jaw dropped for about 15 seconds, then she turned to me... We go down to the Bay quite often from our home in Pa. Bayard House is a very good restaurant, great food, good service and a lovely view from the windows of the C & D Canal. We were down on 10/19-it was a beautiful day and the canal was busy with many boats heading down the Intercoastal waterway. I... More

Wonderful view of the Canal! We ate outside and really enjoyed it. The food was fantastic but the service was very slow.

loved the historic atmosphere. the BAR, aptly named "the hole in the wall" gives you a warm cozy feeling of historic Revolutionary war era. Very Cool!

Service for starters was excellent. The food was spectacular. Best chef salad I have ever eaten. Atmosphere was so relaxing with a great view of the bay. Hands down a great experience.

For starters, we had lobster bisque: too salty, ground lobster, not much flavor. Moules, sandy, soft shells crumbled into Provençal sauce. Oysters on the half shell: rave review, excellent. Mains: Fried oysters, just OK, not great as they should be! Grilled Salmon, good, nothing special. Filet tips with mashed were appreciated. Salads, fine. Desserts: key lime pie, pretty tame, not...
