Nice little place to relax & get good food, seating indoors or out. Watch the boats come up & down the river as you enjoy your meal.

My husband and I visited recently for a birthday luncheon. When visiting the Bayard House in the past we have usually had a good experience. On this visit the service was very slow. I ordered the crab cake sandwich which arrived with no tartar sauce. The tomato on top of the sandwich should have been composted the previous day. My... More

It is always a special treat to dine at the Bayard House. The crab cakes are absolutely mouth watering, so moist and solidly filled with crab meat with perfect seasoning.

Stopped in for a beer on a gorgeous day, to sit on the water. Sat at the outside bar - the bartenders were the worst!! They were both miserable and standoffish. The patrons were in a good mood and all wanted to have fun but the bartenders stifled the mood. My husband's draught beer had black specks floating in it... More

My husband and I had a wonderful lunch overlooking the Canal on Sunday afternoon. The food was very good - we had crab bisque, mushroom turnover and blackened rockfish sandwich. Although the prices were a little high for lunch, the food was very good. The menu is varied and we will definitely be going back again to try some of... More

Had dinner at the outside bar on Wednesday night with a friend. Service was good, but not great, had to send back the crab cake sandwich as there was a hint of ammonia. Good burger to replace the crabcake. Great dark and stormiest,

My wife and I visited this lovely restaurant right on the canal for lunch this past Sunday. You may dine inside or out, by the bar and most with pretty views of the canal. Service is very good, entre's fairly priced as is their wine list so I can highly recommend this restaurant to you.

Just stopped here on a tour of the eastern shore! My husband and I decided to drive south on 213 and hit spots a long the way. This was our first stop. We sat at the outdoor bar with a gorgeous view of the canal. Had a few drinks and the crab fries, just getting started. The bartender, Lisa, gave... More
