We were the only customers and the indifferent waitress could have been more helpful explaining the protocol of ordering crabs. Fortunately, she did demonstrate how to crack them when they arrived while still not comprehending that we we're complete novices and would have appreciated some more guidance. Her personality changed completely with all smiles and chit chat when some local... More

My parents were visiting for the 4th of July holiday, and we went took them out for dinner and fireworks. Saw The Tap Room and thought it would be our kind of place. Mostly, the food wasn't bad--my crabs were good, my husband thought his crab cake sandwich wasn't too bad, my dad thought his soft shells were good, but... More

Old tap room. Clean. Good Food. Good service. Not fancy. Have stopped here many times over the years. You always know what to expect. The Maryland crab soup is wonderful. I always get it. Also the fries with old bay. mmm good.

Went there for lunch, great value, great food. Be warned, they do not take debit or credit cards, or checks. They have a sign at the door. The food is great and the waitress was very friendly.

Our memorial day dinner. We got the dozen garlic crabs, and they were ok. I have never had crabs before, but from what my boyfriend said because they were covered in butter and garlic they were wet making it harder to eat. The old bay fries were nothing special. The waitress was ok, not very friendly, and when we asked... More

We loved this little bar with crabs and cheap pitchers of beer. The crabs can be a little pricey but it's a great little no frills place to eat crabs.

Our favorite place for crabs!! Great laid back atmosphere, the way one should eat crabs. The tap beer selection cood be better. You have to ask for the jumbo crabs. You have to get the crab fries to go with them. The crabs are a bit pricey but were aren't they pricey today.

The Tap Room was a big disappointment! The soft-shell crab sandwich was just ok; the seafood sampler platter with fried oysters, fried clams, and crab was tasteless. The waitress was pleasant. It was a long drive for a boring, tasteless meal.

We finally had a nice day here on the East Coast and decided to take a drive to Chesapeake City for crabs at the Tap Room and to explore the shops, We had crabs, steamed shrimp, and fries. All were great and the waitress was very attentive. Great day.
