We finally had a nice day here on the East Coast and decided to take a drive to Chesapeake City for crabs at the Tap Room and to explore the shops, We had crabs, steamed shrimp, and fries. All were great and the waitress was very attentive. Great day.

While visiting Chesapeake City for the day, we asked a few of the locals where we could find good crabs, and followed their lead. Truly a no-frills joint, with very good food. I think I am being a little generous in the rating of this review, though, considering the prices were a little on the high side, and the dining... More

We went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. It has an old bar atmosphere. The fish and chips was very good. The one thing that annoyed us is they don't take credit cards. We paid an extra $5 to get cash at their ATM machine. I never ever have cash so I won't go back unless I check my wallet!

I suppose if you don't like crabs and beer, don't go to the tab room. We had a half dozen garlic and a half dozen plain steamed. They were delicious! The garlic crabs were well season, unlike most placed where they just shove a tablespoon of jar garlic in the body, over cook them and call that garlic crabs. We... More

Crabs were HORRIBLE (re-heated and dry) bathroom reeked of urine......the waitress all but forgot about us........never refilled our drinks and then when we were finished we had to wait 15 minutes for the check. I wish they would just steam the crabs fresh and I would be willing to put up with the other stuff......oh well dont waist your time... More

I will never eat there again. Wait staff was at the bar while we waited to be seated. Found out the women was one of the owners, brother and sister from Russia. Not nice people. Crabs were precooked then reheated. Very dry, very expensive.

do not go if you do not eat crabs period. My friends said their crabs were not hot, so they were not thrilled.

This was our second visit to the Tap Room. It's a neighborhood bar, and we do love a good neighborhood bar, but this one had nothing special. Saw lots and lots of crabs being purchased to-go, so this must be their specialty. Also saw lots of flies. It would be ok to eat here in a pinch, but I hate... More

Local Restaurant/bar, no frills on decor but the food has always been very tasty. Had appitizers (shrimp fra diavolo & onion rings). Shrimp was excellent, onion rings were not home made but good.

This is a brown paper on the tables crab joint with a Formica bar and excellent food. I thoroughly enjoyed a crab cake sandwich on a delicious buttery bun and my husband had the peel and eat shrimp which were also delicious. People were enjoying hammering and picking their crabs or sitting at the bar for a drink. Great place... More
