Crabs All Year - Lobsters on special - Weekends

Here is a must visit place - bring cash - no cars accepted. The crabs are were expensive, $ 76.00 a dozen in Feb. 2015. They fly them in - certainly not the local variety normally available in the summer and early fall. Md crab soup is always good, fries with old bay, steamed clams with... read more

My husband and I recently stopped in on a snowy Saturday for a late lunch/early dinner. Everything was delicious. Lobster, peel & eat shrimp, catfish bites, hush puppies and bisque. Everything we tried was delicious. Oh, and the Bloody Mary's weren't bad either! The place is very informal, so don't go there expecting a fancy restaurant, but the food and... More

Just amazing crabs in a rustic setting. Exactly what we wanted. We remember the meal so well & would love to return. Simple but perfect.

We went to this restaurant to eat steamed crabs. We ordered french fries which were okay, and onion rings that weren't very good, they were greasy. Our main course were crabs, they were disgusting! They tasted like ammonia. Clearly these crabs are laying somewhere before they're being served. Two trays of crabs between six people and everyone of us had... More

In from NC, a small group was looking for "MD Crab" for dinner. Using our phones it sent us to Chesapeake City. We were walking through the quaint little town and saw The Tap Room on our way to another establishment. Needless to say, we ended up at The Tap Room. We knew we were home from the moment we... As far as bars go, this place is very clean. Waitstaff is friendly and food is good. We actually left after we saw how much crabs were (not their fault-market) and they didn't give us a hard time. Very accommodating.

I've been here many times and always enjoy the food. But went there Saturday Sept 13, 2014 and was so disappointed. I ordered 12 jumbo crabs at $82.00 a dozen but I just knew how good they were it was going to be worth it. The first crab I opened was all mussy so I discarded that one & started... More

Visited in May and saw all you can eat Blue Crab. "How is this possible?" asked I. The waitress answered, "Louisiana Blue in the early summer, Maryland Blue after mid-summer". Crabs after delicious crabs came to our table until our arms were tired of pickin' and our tongues were tired of lickin'. Great service, can be a bit loud, but... More

A group of us went for true Maryland crab dinner. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We ordered two dozen crabs total but the cook messed up and they brought us three dozen crabs and did not charges us for their mistake. The crabs were great, freshly cooked and delicious.
