Local Bar with Local Atmosphere

This is my go to place when I don't really have a destination. Food is generally good, Atmosphere is good. Bar is friendly and small. I have even spent Christmas Eve and New Years Eve in this place with wife.

Smokey Joes offers a breakfast menu that can satisfy almost everyone. The food is was well cooked & the portions are generous. The service was friendly and engaging. We look forward to coming back during the summer.

Came into the restaurant "cold" - not knowing about the food but having a recommendation from the front desk next door. My companion had ribs - I had a fried chicken and broiled crabcake combo. All was very good. Not gourmet of course, but good, comfort food at a very good price. Service was prompt, pleasant and attentive. Entry through... More

Ate here twice while in Chesapeake Beach. Dinner was fine - pulled pork sandwich was excellent - brisket was a little dry and the BBQ sauce did not help it. The sides of Mac and Cheese and Cole Slaw were great, the French fries less so. Breakfast was also a bit uneven. Omelet was dry but potatoes and bacon well-done... More

We live in Owings so is 5 miles away. This place is not fancy however some of the food is very good and the prices are very reasonable. Kids meals are very good and come with a drink and 2 sides for like $5. The sandwiches here are rip Notch the loaded potato skins are the best we have ever... More

I can't believe that such a beautiful location has a restaurant that poor. Let me start with the good. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Nice, nice people. They had a decent selection of beer too. There is some water view on the outside too. The restaurant has something to be desired. Out of date, and an odd odor.... More

I have been here several times for breakfast, food is good and service is just as well. Prices are reasonable. Nothing extra ordinary so decent value for the money. Would be happy to return to.

Upon entering this place you are greeted by no one, and welcomed by an awful aroma. The service is horrible, and the food less than average. If you want to go in for a drink, the bartenders are friendly, but stay away from the restaurant.

My family and I stayed at the chesapeake beach resort and spa and wanted to try Smokey Joe's ribs as the description on their website was really tempting. So we decided to go to the restaurant and ordered food for room service delivery despite having a steep fixed 18% gratuity for room delivery and informed us will take 25 to... More

Since living in the area of this restaurant. I have eaten here a few times. This summer have been taking advantage of the $5.00 Burger nights on Monday & $10.00 Steak nite on Thursday. Must admit the burgers have been great & the steaks so far have been pretty good also. The service has been above average & great deal.This... More
