Folks from the "Land of Pleasant Living" can be very particular about their seafood and Jennings Cafe always gets it right. They have a true treasure with Peggy, who I have known for over 35 years and she is still amazing, never writes anything down and the order is always right.

Jennings is a nice little neighborhood restaurant. The decor makes it look outdated or a bit like a dive but I think that is one of the things that gives the place character. They have a great hamburger, steak sandwich, and good desserts (cream pie).

The meal was worth the wait for the table. The drinks while adequate were not overly generous. What I believe is a signature side dish is cucumbers and onions. Where most side dishes are just there this particular dish stood out. Our entrees were stuffed shrimp for her while I opted for the Maryland Crab Cakes. Both dishes were done... More

They do the regular Maryland fare along with dishes you've been wanting but the family can't take it, like meatloaf and liver & onlions. Nice crowd, local appeal, a bit nicer inside than what it appears to be from the outside

Have been a regular customer of Jennings for quite some time. After receiving terrible service from the waitresses that are sisters, I don't plan on going back. The way they speak to their customers is disturbing. Yelling across the restaurant and generally rude comments are inappropriate in any dining facility...regardless of how long the company has been in operation.

It may be unfair to call Jennings a dive, but it is certainly devoid of pretention, which can certainly be a good thing. Between the unassuming storefront, wood paneling, prominent bar and the scrawled specials board, you can certainly get the wrong idea about the place, but the large crowd eating there on a weeknight certainly seem to think it's... If you're looking for a great local spot that isn't some "corporate" restaurant, this one is for you! Always has great specials on the board, the burgers are fantastic, shrimp salad is locally famous, and they'll let you add/subtract anything to a specific menu item!

The above says it all! From the time you walk through the door until you finish dessert you can expect reasonable priced well prepared food with excellent service! Happy hour specials are worth arriving early for. We enjoyed the meatloaf and softshell crabs which were prepared to order. To date, we have never been disappointed! Enjoy your visit.

Great Food.. Good Service.. and attentive staff. Jennings has been in business for a long time.. and there is a reason for that.. they are a great place to go and have a bite to eat among friends.. new and old... The ribs and fried chicken livers are spectacular.. as well as their salads.. drinks are reasonable.. and location is... More

Quite possibly one of the worst meals ever! Appetizer of breaded mushrooms was greasy and tasteless. The entree of crab fluff was clearly not a fresh crabcake. The appearance indicated how disappointing it was going to be It was fried in what I suspect was old oil. It was very greasy and so tough it was difficult to pierce with... More
