Two different locals recommended the High Spot to us. My husband thought his steak and frites were excellent and I agree from a couple of bites I had. I enjoyed the baked brie. My only disappointment was the lack of a black tea. There are only herbal teas on the menu.

This restaurant has great food and atmosphere. Love sitting at the outside tables in the summertime.

Food is sometimes really great but often only average. Becoming more of a pub than a resturant that cares about there food consistency.

Lunch or dinner here is a good bet. Good drinks, great Buffalo oysters, tasty specials and a good mix on the menu. Their treatment of fish is always done well, salads and hot dishes are inventive without being over-the-top with numbers of disparate ingredients. And Sunday is all day happy hour! Service can be a little slow if the space... More

If you like beer - they have quite a selection. So if you want a good pub - you can't go wrong. However they have a real eclectic menu with constant changes to the sandwich, soup, fish of the day so don't overlook it for a good meal. Nothing glamorous, but my friend raves about their macaroni and cheese cooked... More

An infrequent visitor to Cambridge over the decades the High Spot was a very pleasant surprise. They obviously take care with the menu, presenting local food in interesting ways. My wife and I both loved our lunches. The only downside, and it may not be a downside with many, was that the service was very slow. Not rude, perfectly pleasant,... More

We ordered the duck fat burger which was superb. The fried pickles were crispy and tasty. The brisket sandwich was a low note and the buffalo oysters were just ok. The rotation of beers seemed to lead to confusion by staff of what selections were actually available.

The food options were really delicious, local and lovingly produced. The kids even ate off the adult menu, which is a rare first.

Extremely appealing restaurant with very good food. Our party of 9 enjoyed the atmosphere, the selection of local brewed beers and great service by the waitstaff. Appetizers were good: Calamari, Devilled Eggs and Fried Green Tomatoes. Another hit was Marilyn's She-Crab Soup. Less successful was the unique Duck Fat Burger, made of Seared Duck Fat, Simmons Ground Beef, Gruyere, Mushrooms... More
