Good choice for Cambridge

Went on Sunday to try their all day happy hour specials. Husband got the burger, very good and came with fries. I got the crab dip, was ok, and as someone else mentioned, didn't come w/enough bread to dip in it. Good deals tho for happy hour. Wine pour was kind of skimpy. Service was... read more

A wonderful place to enjoy appetizers, meals, brunch, drinks or dessert. Everytime I go to the restaurant I have such a hard time choosing what to have because everything is so good! The burger with macaroni and cheese if you're feeling indulgent, the crab cake if you want something local, or the grilled ceasar salad is fantastic! Such a nice... More

We stopped in Cambridge, MD after a long drive from the DC Area. We were looking for a nice glass of beer and a good juicy burger and the High Spot was perfect. The place is bright and well lit on High Street in Cambridge. Our waitress was cheerful and friendly. The order was taken promptly and the burger was... More

A great place serving local foods. Lively and sometimes noisy. But most of us like this about High Spot. Great owner/chef.

Last Friday our out-of-town family reunion group of 24 (including four children aged 3-5, a toddler, and an infant) arrived at High Spot Gastropub. We had 6:30 advance reservations and were seated in a side room with two other 4-tops. The wait staff took drink orders and promptly served bread, crab dip, and baked brie. The meals were served quickly,... More

Enjoyed a very nice lunch while checking out the disappointing dowtown scene in Cambridge, MD. The house crab soup is worth the trip. Perfectly spiced with the classic local Old Bay amid authentic creamy stock. Even enjoyed picking out some small shells amongst the crab chunks to remind one its the real deal. The atmosphere is well done and classic.... More

Very nice Gastropub with outdoor seating on historic High Street. The food is delicious but it does tend to be a little pricey. Then again, good food isn't cheap. During the first week of May they close the block from Poplar to Church for Beer Fest; great beer, local food, and live music.

Went there last night with a group of 9. Nice ambience....but they were all out of their chicken and burger dishes by 7pm! The downside of all day happy hours. We'll have to try that duck far burger another time. The rockfish salad was average, crab dip was tasty but on salty side and with insufficient amount of bread, buffalo... More

Food quality is always very good but I'm not a big eater yet often leave hungry. Recently got the evening special........scallops.......4 med sized scallops on risotto without any other veggies or sides was $25. Two sides or maybe two more scallops would have made it a good value.

Since this is perhaps my 14th or 15th spring trip to the town of Cambridge, I've been to a fair amount of their restaurants. We have visited in the past quite a few of the local seafood restaurants and been very pleased but one of the locals that day had recommended The High Spot, so my wife called and we... More
