Great Lunch - Perfect Black & Tan

Based on a previous review, we just had to stop in and try the food. Lunch time on Saturday, warmly welcomed and sat near the fire. Ordered Fish n Chips and a burger. Hands down, best Fish n Chips in town. Actually made the beer batter right in front of us so we knew it wasn't cheaply made with a... read more

I ordered a burger, I ordered it medium temp, it came WELL DONE, it had no flavor(not a hint of salt or pepper) only burnt taste of the grill. The bun it was served on was way to big for the size of the burger, which actually resembled a meatball instead of a patty. Sooo, disappointed. I also ordered a... More

The food was excellent and made fresh. Burger was slightly over cooked. Seafood was very good - especially capers, salmon, and crab balls.

This was the best restaurant I've ever eaten at and I don't take that lightly, I eat out constantly! Their cottage pie and cream of crab soup is to die for! Stopped by for an early lunch while passing through Cambridge. Our waitress was very attentive. The restaurant is rather dark and dingy, but our food was very good. The crab salad had lots of fresh picked crab meat. My husband's Rueben was loaded with meat and very tasty. We would stop by here again.

We stopped in to an empty restaurant at about 2:30 in the afternoon for a late lunch. We were seated immediately by a manager type person, who also provided the initial drink order until she could find the waitress. The service was reasonable, but not exceptional. We had reubens, one turkey, one corned beef, an order of fries, and a... More

Do *NIOT* waste your time here. The food is "decent" but grossly overpriced, as are the drinks, as well. The dining area is dark & dingy, (no doubt to make it difficult to see how skimpy the portions are). The "manager" also doubles as the "waitress" and the "chef" (and I use that term *verrrrry* loosely) is apparently the owner... More

I've lived in Cambridge for 32 years and have never had such horrible service. There was only 2 tables that night besides a party in the back. The 2 tables in front were treated like crap. It took our table 15 minutes to get drinks and another 30 mins to get just one of our appetizers. Just as we decided... More
