We were a group of 8 women arriving for our reservation at different times, lots of questions about the menu, a really difficult group to wait on. We had to have been a nightmare for her but she never showed it. Our server was totally patient, helpful and accomodating through it all. And the food was excellent.

My husband and I enjoyed a nice weekend at the Hyatt Regency. On our first night we ate at the Blue Point Restaurant. We ordered the Crab Dip and the Prime Rib. The Crab dip was by far the best crab dip I have ever had. Not only was there a lot of crab meat on top of the dip... More

If you read my review of the Hyatt in Cambridge, you'll get all the details. But essentially the food was horrible. The crab cake was the worst I've had in my life. So expensive, but all I could manage to eat were two bites. Also didn't like the crab dip or the kid's chicken and cheese sauce meal. I did... More

We live in Cambridge and if we feel like a meal out and it looks like it will be a good sunset we head over to the Blue Point Provision Company. The views from both the outside deck and inside the restaurant are fantastic. The staff is always friendly. The oysters are always fresh and well shucked. The crab dip... More

The location is fantastic. On the grounds of the Cambridge Hyatt, it is architecturally interesting, big and open with expansive windows overlooking the River Marsh Marina. It does tend to be loud in there, whether it's because there's usually quite a few families or because sound just booms around all the hard surfaces in the space. Even though we were... More

We were the only customers in here at 6:00 on a Saturday evening, but it was December after all! Eventually other families arrived and the place livened up. The meals were good but pricey. I did not expect the kick and Asian-influence of the dish I ordered, it read to me that it was shrimp over jasmine rice. The shrimp... More

We agree with the negative reviews on this restaurant. Hyatt should do much better. The fish may be fresh but mine was overcooked and not interesting. The buttermilk mash potatoes were watery and tasteless. The green beans and carrots were undercooked and plopped on the plate. Service was very good. Bottom line is: way overpriced for mediocre food.

The calamari appetizer was excellent. But the crabcakes were chewy and overcooked. I expected more from an area that specializes in crab.

After spending a few days at the Hyatt we tried the Blue Point. The food was okay and could be better but was most disappointing was the selection & service. The wine list suffers from being extremely over priced, very poor selection and servers without a clue. You would expect a property as beautiful and awesome as this, they would... More

The place is definitely a vacation spot. The prices reflect this of course. But, that's to be expected when dining on property. Some great specials during happy hour though. Love the atmosphere and overlooking the water while dining.
