An afternoon of cracking crab legs in this charming little shack was more fun than I imagined. Thankfully the post-Labor Day weather was nice so our party could enjoy lunch outside on the waterfront. Although this place was a bit of a drive from the metropolitan area, it's an idyllic little corner that provided a down-home, unpretentious setting to roll... More

We asked where to get a good crab cake and the response from several people was to go to Stoney's here instead of Solomon's Island. Long drive and hard to find, but what a great place on the water. It was a beautiful day to eat outside and the place is huge. There were two sizes of crab cakes -... More

Service tonite was very slow, they were clearly understaffed as they had available tables but almost an hour wait for one. The cream of crab soup was over-thickened too salty glop with little crab meat. The potato salad cup was dried out and chewy on top. The Blue Moon beer was warm and flat. But i cant beat the setting... More

I am a local in Calvert County and love going to Stoney's quite often. They have several locations, but my favorite is the one on Broomes Island. The property is on a point surrounded by water and offers gorgeous views. I've never had a bad meal here and have tried many different things, but my favorite is the Rockfish Gyro... More

Let's see...slightly off the beaten path...great. Facilities...updated, clean, and how can you not want to sit out on the deck on a perfect summer's evening with friends. Wait...and the perfect wait staffer/person, server, too? Yep. (How 'bout taking our order from seven people, three of whom had last minute modifications, and not writing anything down? AND, it all came from... More

Stoney's Broome's Island venue is one of several in Stoney's "portfolio", but stands out as the most unique and expansive venue compared to the other locations. It's a bit off the beaten path at Broome's Island (unless you live out that way), but that also is why it's so special as it has unrivaled view of Patuxent River and boating... More

My first time at this restaurant. The food is good they have an indoor and outdoor bars. You can sit inside or outside for dinner. After dinner there is a pavilion grounds that you can walk with chairs that you can view the Patuxent River.

Stoney's has been around for a long time, serving fresh seafood - what you'd expect in a small seaport. But it is really expensive - city prices. Food is good but not much imagination and you'd be better off eating in the city.

We have been coming to Stoney's for years, and this year again were not disappointed. I could be wrong, but this appears to be the first year we noticed it was dog-friendly outside as well. The menu is good and varied, the entire property is immaculate and the food great. You can sit outside on the water and watch boats... More

Stoney's has been a landmark restaurant in Calvert County, MD for many years. But as time has gone on Stoney's has lost it's edge and fans. The quality of the food is not what it once was and it's a bit pricey for what you get! Atmosphere is still great, but atmosphere alone does'nt cut it in the restaurant industry.... More
