It's a nice atmosphere, and they have good crab cakes and decent fish, but you definitely pay a premium for the location on the Solomon's 'strip'.

One of my great memories was having a wonderful seafood dinner at Stoney's twenty plus years ago with my then fiance, parents and my grandparents. This place is nowhere near what it once was. The food was/is overpriced; the oysters and fries left a pool of grease at the bottom of the basket. My wife's cream of crab soup seamed... More

I stopped in with friends on Labor Day mid-afternoon for a late lunch. I asked the server whether to order the crab cakes or crab imperial. I got a non-answer response. I asked her what the crab cakes were made with. She gave me a puzzled look. I asked "What type of filler is used - mayo, Old Bay, something... More

Today was the hottest day of the year. We arrived at Stoney's on Broomes Island on our bicycles. We stopped to get something to drink and use the restroom. They told us to go away, "Go to Len's Marina. They open at 6:00". The owner's wife said to us. This was at 11:15. Besides being rude they are over priced... More

We have been going to Stoney's for years. In earlier days, we told everyone we met to go to Stoney's and eat a crab cake. Back then, the toasted buns were brushed with melted butter, which really added to the sandwich. They stopped that some years ago. I used to describe their crab cake as "big lumps of crab meat... Wonderful atmosphere - beautiful - a total gem - found it by accident just turned right of the highway and there it was. fantastic food - larger - actually very large portions - a small crab was enough for two of us. fantastic place - if you're in the are - GO for the evening. thank you for a wonderful... I'm kind of surprised Stoney's has this low of a score. Maybe I put too much stock in nostalgia from having gone here throughout my life and the fact that the waterfront dining here can go up against any restaurant, but I love this place! My favorites here would be the crab pretzel and crabcake sandwich. I have and always... More

Years ago this was quite a nice restaurant. It has been going downhill. We gave them another try today but it will probably be our last. Our entrees came just minutes after our appetizer arrived, which is unacceptable. My husband ordered a cheeseburger but it arrived with no cheese. His fries were barely lukewarm. I ordered the filet mignon sautéed... More

Have been to the locations on Solomon's Island with good experience, but had only been to this one once before with no problems that I can remember, but this time was much different. I am in a wheelchair, and my husband was pushing me toward the ramp, my chair hit an UNMARKED change in elevation. I was jolted forward and... More

We have been to Stoney's Kingfisher on Solomon's several times and liked it so decided to give this Stoney's a try. One try will be it. A lovely spot, beautifully set on the water. Quite a drive to get there, truly an out of the way place. That is the only positive about this place. Our waitress was pleasant enough,... More
