Wonderful atmosphere - beautiful - a total gem - found it by accident just turned right of the highway and there it was. fantastic food - larger - actually very large portions - a small crab was enough for two of us. fantastic place - if you're in the are - GO for the evening. thank you for a wonderful... I'm kind of surprised Stoney's has this low of a score. Maybe I put too much stock in nostalgia from having gone here throughout my life and the fact that the waterfront dining here can go up against any restaurant, but I love this place! My favorites here would be the crab pretzel and crabcake sandwich. I have and always... More

Years ago this was quite a nice restaurant. It has been going downhill. We gave them another try today but it will probably be our last. Our entrees came just minutes after our appetizer arrived, which is unacceptable. My husband ordered a cheeseburger but it arrived with no cheese. His fries were barely lukewarm. I ordered the filet mignon sautéed... More

Have been to the locations on Solomon's Island with good experience, but had only been to this one once before with no problems that I can remember, but this time was much different. I am in a wheelchair, and my husband was pushing me toward the ramp, my chair hit an UNMARKED change in elevation. I was jolted forward and... More

We have been to Stoney's Kingfisher on Solomon's several times and liked it so decided to give this Stoney's a try. One try will be it. A lovely spot, beautifully set on the water. Quite a drive to get there, truly an out of the way place. That is the only positive about this place. Our waitress was pleasant enough,... More

An afternoon of cracking crab legs in this charming little shack was more fun than I imagined. Thankfully the post-Labor Day weather was nice so our party could enjoy lunch outside on the waterfront. Although this place was a bit of a drive from the metropolitan area, it's an idyllic little corner that provided a down-home, unpretentious setting to roll... More

We asked where to get a good crab cake and the response from several people was to go to Stoney's here instead of Solomon's Island. Long drive and hard to find, but what a great place on the water. It was a beautiful day to eat outside and the place is huge. There were two sizes of crab cakes -... More

Service tonite was very slow, they were clearly understaffed as they had available tables but almost an hour wait for one. The cream of crab soup was over-thickened too salty glop with little crab meat. The potato salad cup was dried out and chewy on top. The Blue Moon beer was warm and flat. But i cant beat the setting... More

I am a local in Calvert County and love going to Stoney's quite often. They have several locations, but my favorite is the one on Broomes Island. The property is on a point surrounded by water and offers gorgeous views. I've never had a bad meal here and have tried many different things, but my favorite is the Rockfish Gyro... More

Let's see...slightly off the beaten path...great. Facilities...updated, clean, and how can you not want to sit out on the deck on a perfect summer's evening with friends. Wait...and the perfect wait staffer/person, server, too? Yep. (How 'bout taking our order from seven people, three of whom had last minute modifications, and not writing anything down? AND, it all came from... More
