Great place for trivia and good food

We went with a group of people for Trivia night on Tuesdays and had a great time. I had the fish tacos and the quesadilla, both of which were very good. Parking is tight, but it's not impossible to find a spot. The staff is very friendly and it's a relaxed atmosphere all around.

The night we visited the place very busy with a couple of parties. That said we were still seated within 20 minutes; just enough time to check out the bar. Restaurant has a nice menu with good variety. We ordered crab soup, a side salad and one of their nightly specials. It was a spicy steak dip and we asked... More

This casual dining, family run restaurant is our go-to spot when we want a nice dinner out. But don't let words like casual or family run turn your head. This isn't the run-of-the-mill pub food. The food is consistently excellent, and the specials are well done. Fresh and delicious! Try the fried green beans! Really! For the environment and quality... More

There's a varied menu with many unique dishes. Everything our group tried was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. The place has several rooms which makes for a more intimate atmosphere.

This is a family-oriented restaurant. Pretty good taps in the separate bar; there's also bands upstairs that play on the weekends. The food is rather good. I think the sesame soy wings are the best just about anywhere; the roast "the Big B" is crazy good. It's not fancy, and it's far better than pub grub, and people of all... More

Good food combined with musical bands coming from across the country to play here live tops it all! The owners are extremely friendly folks and the bartenders are great to have a chat with. You sure are destined to see familiar faces each time you visit there. Food is lovely and the service is extremely warm! Enjoy it!

Living in Bowie, OBTG is convenient. But what makes it special are the owners and the food. The owners are very friendly and greet us each time we visit. The food - what can I say: The homemade soups are delicious, the burgers are the best in the area, and the specials are amazing for a locally-owned establishment - better... More

I have a soft spot for the OBTG. It is unique, serves a varied menu, and has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. Service is not perfect, but you won't mind when you see how nice and accommodating the staff is. The food is usually good- love the blackened salmon and cream of crab soup. They have live entertainment upstairs, which tends to... More

We stopped in for lunch on two occasions, and both times had different items. All in the party were very happy with the food prep. The service was very good both times. Definitely recommend.

We live close-by and frequent the Old Bowie Town Grille. The cream of crab soup and the sandwiches are our favorites. There are rotating specials, a separate bar area and it is kid friendly.
