Typical Potbelly - Toasted Subs

Tucked along a row of restaurants along Elm Street, this Potbelly sees a lot of 'local lunch traffic' - the office workers surrounding the Bethesda metro station flood this typical sandwich shop from 11:30 - 2pm. Stopped in around 1, and had a Big wreck (very filling). No sweet tea options... read more

A quick place to grab a bite, food is OK, but nothing to really write home about. Atmosphere is a bit dark for my taste, but location is very convenient

I love the casual atmosphere and location. My favorite is the pot roast sandwich. It is juicy and tastes like slow-cooked pot roast and fills my craving, when I don 't have time to cook pot roast.

One of my kids' favorite lunch spots in Bethesda. We can always count on a decent sandwich (Italian cold cut and turkey are favorites), made-to-order, for a good price. The atmosphere is warm and accommodating. Lunch can get busy, but the line moves quickly and we have always been able to find a table.

This used to be a go to spot for a quick lunch when I worked in the area. Certainly nothing fancy, but tasty and served quickly. If you go during the lunch rush the line may be practically out the door.

Loved the bread. Great spot for sandwich but gets busy at lunch time. They offer many choices for your sandwiches.

I always get the wreck which is a sub that has a few meats. Excellent sandwich and perfect every time I come. People are friendly and efficient...

We were returning after a long day of sight seeing. A fresh made, warm sandwich hit the spot. Reasonably priced, and a good variety of choices.

Food seemed the same quality as Sub-way. Eat-in atmosphere / comfort was better but I wouldn't bother returning again.

They have a good variety of sub sandwhiches both hot and cold. The food doesn't pretend to be healthy but it is definitely delicious! It is fast and very inexpensive. I personally recommend the grilled chicken and cheese or the pizza sandwhich.
