Pizza, pizza, and more pizza

On a recommendation from a friend, I dropped by Mia's Pizza for dinner one day. The menu was nothing but pizza. I was amazed at how one food could have so much variety while remaining true to its Italian origins, with no ridiculous toppings. I ordered a pizza (what a surprise!) and after a lengthy... read more

We enjoy Mia's on a regular basis. Good wood-fired pizza, calzone and other Italian dishes in a cozy, pleasant venue. Reasonable wine by the glass or bottle. Molto bene!

My family of four has eaten here many times, and we are never disappointed, even though only two of us eat pizza. One daughter, who is gluten free, gets a salad with grilled chicken that is excellent. My wife, who simply avoids bread, gets grilled vegetables, salad, chicken, etc. On our most recent visit, in April 2015, my wife had... More

Service was so great, we felt like it was a family member serving us (a family member you actually like). Our pizzas were delivered to the table in a very short time and the ingredients all seemed to be of really good quality. The crowd was somewhat young and it was a nice atmosphere to relax in. I am more... More

My girlfriend and I went in to grab a pizza to go. I stepped into the restroom while she waited at the bar and ordered a beer. The manager or owner lady asked for her ID. When I returned she had just come back and told her she refused to serve her because she had a license from another state.... More

Very few restaurants are able to consistently deliver quality food and service, year after year. My dozen or so visits to Mias over the last three years have always been terrific. I make sure that we always over-order so that we have plenty to take home. Their pizza ages well. Pizza ingredients are of good quality and fresh. Fig appetizers... More

Large pizza? Seriously? S M A L L GOOD THING there was minimal sauce, cheese, & taste. The large size was s m a l l . Thought we had wrong order for 3 adults, 3 kids. Wood- burning oven. And..so? Zagat Reviews, you got it all wrong. I'm sticking with Tripadvisor.

While the menu looks like what you would expect at a traditional Italian modern restaurant, several of the menu items have more of a vegetarian slant than Italian. For example, my Eggplant Parma was not the traditional kind (breaded, cheese and sauce) but more of a vegetable stew. It was good, just not what I had expected. It is not... More

Had dinner here Saturday night. They allow dogs on the patio - which is great for me. Had the Watermelon, cucumber, feta special salad and a margarita pizza. Salad was the perfect light summer salad. Pizza was great with a thin crust and very tasty. Service was fantastic - my dog had a bowl of water before I had a... More

We've eaten at many other Bethesda restaurants when I've visited the area but this one is fantastic. If you like pizza, GO! The selections are imaginative and prepared to perfection. We shared two salads for the four of us as starters and we loved the one with arugula and pears. The dressings are light and don't overwhelm the fresh ingredients... More
