Cozy, very friendly, prompt, & delicious

The cook & the waitress were both very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, it was cozy & quite & not noisy or loud at all which I appreciate, the portions were reasonably sufficient, & the pricing was not too bad for the area.

La Panetteria is a sweet, unassuming place that almost disappears off a side street in Bethesda. (Look for the bright, green awning.) Inside you'll find a lovely little restaurant serving home cooked Italian food. Independently run, La Panetteria is the last man standing and dates back to when Bethesda actually had some quaintness about it, before the demolition and re-building... More

We came here on a Friday night and the place was packed. The team quickly made a table for 8 back in the back part of the restaurant. Our service was impeccable. We must have had 3-4 servers waiting on us while we were there. The bread always came out warm and yummy. The parmesan cheese bowl was a nice... More

Wonderful meal backed up by exceptional service. Pasta and seafood dishes were excellent & the antipasto is a great way to start your meal.

Revisited this restaurant for dinner since we were in the area to see a movie. Small and charming dining room. Ordered a veal dish with salad. The salad dressing was hearty and fresh, resembling a soup. The veal was very tender and moist. After dinner, we each tried a cappucino which was deliciously hot, since the AC in there felt... More

I booked through Open Table for a group of ten (all work colleagues) for 5 pm this evening (Saturday, June 21, 2014). We were greeted by the owner who seated everyone as they arrived (none of that nonsense of waiting until the entire group is present before seating everyone). We ordered a variety of appetizers, meat, seafood, and pasta entrees... More

My family has been going to this restaurant for years. We had our second big party here in 3 years and it was just as good as the first. We had about 50 people in the main dining area. Harry, the owner, was wonderful to work with and helped us pick a terrific menu (he is very flexible) and set... More

My sister was in town for the weekend for we took her to La Panetteria since we know that she likes casual, Italian restaurants. She loved the place. It was perfect. I had taken out of town business guests there before, and they always had a great meal with friendly service. Their salad dressing is great. My sister, who used... More

Dined here last night (Saturday) and it was wonderful! For appetizers we ordered the grilled calamari (so tender!) and mussels in white wine. Our entrees were: crab stuffed lobster tail (lobster was a tad overcooked), linguine with white clam sauce, seafood over Italian rice(not to be confused with risotto), the Chilean sea bass special and spaghetti carbonara - everything was... Had a perfectly delicious dinner there this past Saturday evening with family for our daughter's Confirmation celebration. Made reservations but got the impression they might have been able to squeeze us in though they were busy. Patrons all appeared to be happy and enjoying the convivial atmosphere. Waitress pleasant and competent. Food delicious. I had something like chicken tetrazzini (?)... More
