Great, tasty food and a lot of different dishes to choose from, excellent service, I looove the Tiramisu.
Normal average, not great, local Italian restaurant. Service was very good but the food was just okay. Neither the garlic and oil sauce on one pasta we had, nor the tomato sauce, was particularly good. Hard to be a solid italian restaurant if you don't have a good tomato sauce. The dessert - a chocolate mousse - lacked the depth... More
Consistently outstanding Italian food and a great, friendly, attentive wait staff. We go to La Panetteria several times a year and we are never disappointed. They always have great specials.
Our entire experience at La Panetteria was very good. We were promptly seated, service was excellent (always there when they needed to be and not there when they didn't), the garlic knots were delicious (I ate 3 of the 4), the pasta (I had the Penne ala Nonna) was cooked perfectly and the red sauce was delicious (I highly recommend... Some good things remain constant. As always, our dinner at Paneterria was excellent. As always, the service was friendly and efficient. Whether it's veal or pasta, the entrees have always been excellent. Chocolate mousse cake was delicious.

The service was professional. The three of us all enjoyed our food. It was fresh and hot. The atmosphere of the restaurant is enjoyable. It is always a pleasure to eat here.
One of our friends made the arrangements to have a reunion of 5 couples on a Sunday evening. The place is not big but has a special feeling of an Italian restaurant. The food was very good, big portions. I had a meat lasagna that was great. All the other friends had different dishes even some vegetarians which all claim... More
La Panetteria is a sweet, unassuming place that almost disappears off a side street in Bethesda. (Look for the bright, green awning.) Inside you'll find a lovely little restaurant serving home cooked Italian food. Independently run, La Panetteria is the last man standing and dates back to when Bethesda actually had some quaintness about it, before the demolition and re-building... More
We came here on a Friday night and the place was packed. The team quickly made a table for 8 back in the back part of the restaurant. Our service was impeccable. We must have had 3-4 servers waiting on us while we were there. The bread always came out warm and yummy. The parmesan cheese bowl was a nice... More
