We enjoyed the restaurant & it was convenient. The food was just a little pricy, but it was good. We typically do not order the combination dishes when looking for a Mexican venue, but due to the prices, we did here. The results were good, although the waitress made an error on my wife's requests. The fried plaintains were delicious,... More

I've been going to Guapo's (both the Bethesda and DC locations) for over a decade and they are consistently good. The food is always good (their salsa is my fave in the DC area), the staff are always nice, the prices are reasonable and now that I have a child I've discovered they are family friendly too.

This spot is near our hotel, and we stopped in for lunch. We were so impressed! Cute atmosphere, top notch service, and Mexican like you get in Mexico: all fresh ingredients, light on the cheese and sour cream and fried stuff. We were so impressed! Just the salsa brought with a basket of chips, was fresh chopped tomatoes, fresh chopped... More

Echoing most of the other reviews, Guapo's is great. Our server was very attentive and food was very good (skirt steak special and chicken chimichanga). Complimentary chips are good but salsa is too watery. Can't wait to go back !

The Mexican food was good and even though the restaurant was crowded, it was fairly quick. Our server was friendly and checked on us often. my only negative comment is that the room was so loud it was impossible to have a conversation across the table.

Food was great. Restaurant tends to be very noisy when there are more than a few customers. Very little sound absorbing material to moderate the loud conversations.

This one is not to be missed if in the area and although fronting from a hotel it is not part of the hotel. The steaming plates add to the experience. The prices were good and they moved us in quickly even on the weekend.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in the DC area. They do a superb job in every way and all of their food is fresh. We've had four or five dinners for our clients there, usually for 15 people and they do a fantastic job of taking care of us. You won't be sorry you went to this very reasonably... More

On our annual Easter eve stay in Bethesda md before services on Sunday at the national cathedral we planned on visiting maggies only to find it had closed in February. Thankfully we had already discussed going to Guappos so we walked around the corner for plan b. Not a bad plan b. We started with the complimentary salsa and chips... More

I dine at Guapos on a regular basis and have done so for years. All of a sudden, over the course of the past few weeks, their portion sizes have shrunk--frozen Margaritas no longer over brimming the glass; quacamole now a virtually useless tiny garnish on the side of my entrée; charges for a few shreds of extra cheese. When... More
