So So Tio

I think their menu is very limited. Salads were scarce and most menu items were not that healthy. Come on Tio Julio you can do alot better!

I had eaten here the last time I was in Bethesda a year ago and dreamed of coming back. I thought perhaps I'd remembered it too fondly, but the food was every bit as good as I remember. The fresh ingredients and combination of flavors make Uncle Julio's well worth the trip. The staff is friendly and helpful. I wish... More

I had some really good quesadillas and margaritas here! Fun atmosphere and good food. Waitstaff were friendly, everything seemed reasonably priced.

The chips are fresh and delicious, the best soft tortillas, great margaritas and the best chicken fajitas. I never seem to like the way others season theirs. I recently visited for the first time as a mother ( after years as a bar regular) and was very happy from the child friendliness aspect. Our waitress brought a ball of tortilla... More

We enjoy taking the family to Uncle Julio's as it is kid friendly. Kids get to watch tortillas being made and often get a sample of the dough. They have crayons and a puzzle sheet to keep them occupied before the food arrives. The food is good as is the service

We stopped in on a Sunday evening for dinner. Service was prompt and attentive. Food was very good for both adults and kids. We would definitely come back if we're in the mood for Mexian in Bethesda! Drinks were slightly pricey for the portion.

I am a fan of Uncle Julio fajitas, and the Bethesda location did not disappoint. Our server, Sara, was attentive and friendly. Our entire meal (2 adults, 2 kids) were excellent and tasty. All was great. Friendly hostess.

The best carne asada meal! The skirt steak has a unique marinade and it is always tender and cooked just the way we like (one rare, one medium). My sons also love coming here. And their Swirl drink is great. One of my all time favorite meals. The atmosphere is a bit noisy because it is always busy!

Chose to eat here after strolling around the area and deciding to just stick with this place. The atmosphere is nice. Our server was slow, however. He did not check on us often and I had to look around for him multiple times to get his attention. He was not so attentive. As for the food, here's what we got:... More

This is consistently good Tex-Mex, and definitely a cut above the other "chain" Mexican restaurants in the area (Guapo's, Mi Rancho, etc.). Not as refined or adventurous, however, as Rosa Mexicano, which is in a different price-range. This is just good, dependable Tex-Mex, and a great place to bring kids (as the place is mobbed with families during weekend lunches... More
