Uncle Julio's is one of my regular spots for lunch in Bethesda - a girlfriend I lunch with frequently really likes going here. I'm okay with Mexican food and the food and service here are very good. I usually order tamales if they have them, or tacos, although on my most recent visit I had a quesadilla which was very... More

We went there for lunch with another family with small kids. Not only they had kids menu, they also get the kids a little piece of dough to play with. Kept them entertained the whole time so that the adults could talk. Food was really good too!

Uncle Julio's is a very good place for mexican food. The guacamole is fresh, and tastes great. The complimentary chips and salsa was wonderful as well. I have only ever had the fajitas on my three visits; however, I highly recommend them. Located in the heart of Bethesda, with lots of parking around. Everyone I have been with has said... More

We enjoyed their sangria and magarita swirl and flog legs. We have been to both the one in Rio as well as downtown Bethesda.

Great margaritas and tequila options. Lively, casual atmosphere. Attentive bar staff. Salsa is dark and hot.

I used to go here a lot in high school. The fajitas, tortilla soup and the super thin tortillas with the extra thin and runny salsa were enough to draw us back here time and time again. It's moved to a new larger location, now with parking right across the street. Hooray! (Previously it was always such a nightmare to... More

Food was different. Not what you would expect for Texmex. The service was excellent but the food was only average and overpriced. I would not recommend.

My husband and I visited Uncle Julio's on a Saturday evening. We dined outside on the patio, it was great to people watch and dine. The margaritas are awesome on the rock and frozen. For starters the tortilla chips are crispy, thin and freshly made. Sadly, the accompanying salsa was lacking in flour, and texture. We ordered fajitas and tacos.... More

We ate here last year and remembered that the food seemed pretty good – so we tried it again. Service was fast but I wouldn't call it "attentive". I asked for extra cheese on my beans when I ordered, when they were delivered and the third time, as they were getting cold. I never did get what I asked for.... More
