Nice Little French Restaurant

Good find! Little fine dining experience for the family. Was able to bring my 2 year old toddler. The lady hostess is very friendly, I don't know if she's the owner. My salad endive is absolutely delicious. The 3 of us enjoyed the basket of rustic baguette & the soupe l'oignon, just perfect. Hubby... read more

We went to Le Vieux again with Kate and again had a great meal. Ann and I had the Escargot with garlic and butter and parmeasean crusted veal medallions and Kate the onion soup and chard. All were terrific. The wine list, a bit short, but well priced. The area we were in was noisy and it was had to... More

We enjoyed a relatively good meal; however, nothing extraordinary. Recent reviews suggested that the restaurant had improved, but we were underwhelmed.

This restaurant has been around for a long time. The inside is jam-packed with tables, though the restaurant is pretty small. The crowd is definitely older, but I would suggest they are there for the food, not to be seen. We have decided to increase our attendance at this restaurant because we like the menu and the food is consistently... More

A few weeks was the second dinner we've had here since the new owner-chef took over. The food and service are excellent, and we are delighted with the mix of old favorites and new items on the menu. The basic interior hasn't been changed significantly, but the decor is fresh and uncluttered. All in all, still one of our favorite... More

It's been almost a year since we visited this restaurant. The last time we were there the food was excellent but the service was definitely sub par. This time the food, as before, was excellent. They still need work on service but it has improved. In fact, I think they could use an additional waiter. The were quite busy and... More

Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Le Vieux Logis. The service was very attentive, friendly and warm --definitely a strength for the restaurant. The food was more of a mixed experience. Among the appetizers, the mussels were a bit boring, but I enjoyed my soup of the day (a cream of Jerusalem artichokes, served over a lobster rilette). One of... More

This place has undergone a delightful transformation under a new French chef. Once a haven for the old and tired, now the food sparkles with taste that's wonderfully presented. The decor still looks worse for wear, so hopefully the interior will soon catch up with the menu. This is a great place to celebrate a birthday or other milestone, but... More

I visited Le Vieux Logis couple years ago and my experience was wonderful back then. Therefore I was a bit worried about going back there after the place got a new owner and a new chef. Last Friday we finally decided to give it a try. And I have to say, the place is as wonderful as it was before.... More

Used to be fan of this chef at Pralines and we finally made it to Bethesda. We like french food and have been here many times before but not with the new owner and so glad we went. Had a spectacular dinner for NYE. Nice prix fixe menu with appetizer, entre, dessert and a champagne toast. My wife had the... More
