Wonderful neighborhood restaurant

Le Vieux Logis has been in Bethesda for a long time and even recently changed owners. I understand that the Chef bought it. Well - the food is delicious. I eat gluten free - and it was easy to have a lovely meal here. There were 6 people in my party, 2 of whom ordered the special for the... read more

Had reviewed this charming and quiet spot for dinner and conversation when it was owned and operated by by the original owner. Decided to test out the transition and was extremely delighted to have a welcoming experience. Arrived early for wine and to wait for our party to assemble and the staff were gracious. Best of all when I ordered,... More

This is the first time that we ate at this restaurant. Overall the food and the atmosphere is OK but the restaurant is extremely pricey. The dover sole which was "market price" was charged at $44 per person. That is very high for a restaurant where the waitress barely knew the French desserts on the menu. All in all the... More

It doesn't look like much from the street, but once you step inside you quickly get over it. Everyone is very friendly, the decor is lovely, it's easy to have a conversation, but best of all, the food is about as good as you'll find outside of France itself. We're always re-amazed at how good it is. The escargot here... More

I promised to take my daughter to Georgetown Cupcakes in Bethesda for her birthday and figured we'd eat dinner around there as well. She wanted to eat at a French restaurant. The first one she chose was booked (it was a Saturday) so we got a reservation at le Vieux Logis instead and were happy we did. They brought out... More

Good find! Little fine dining experience for the family. Was able to bring my 2 year old toddler. The lady hostess is very friendly, I don't know if she's the owner. My salad endive is absolutely delicious. The 3 of us enjoyed the basket of rustic baguette & the soupe l'oignon, just perfect. Hubby enjoyed his steak dish as well as... More

We went to Le Vieux again with Kate and again had a great meal. Ann and I had the Escargot with garlic and butter and parmeasean crusted veal medallions and Kate the onion soup and chard. All were terrific. The wine list, a bit short, but well priced. The area we were in was noisy and it was had to... More

We enjoyed a relatively good meal; however, nothing extraordinary. Recent reviews suggested that the restaurant had improved, but we were underwhelmed.

This restaurant has been around for a long time. The inside is jam-packed with tables, though the restaurant is pretty small. The crowd is definitely older, but I would suggest they are there for the food, not to be seen. We have decided to increase our attendance at this restaurant because we like the menu and the food is consistently... More

A few weeks was the second dinner we've had here since the new owner-chef took over. The food and service are excellent, and we are delighted with the mix of old favorites and new items on the menu. The basic interior hasn't been changed significantly, but the decor is fresh and uncluttered. All in all, still one of our favorite... More
