Used to be fan of this chef at Pralines and we finally made it to Bethesda. We like french food and have been here many times before but not with the new owner and so glad we went. Had a spectacular dinner for NYE. Nice prix fixe menu with appetizer, entre, dessert and a champagne toast. My wife had the... More

Just outside DC with typical menu prepared and presented well. Service fine. Atmosphere not what one would expect, bit bright, Full bar. Escargot meaty and. lovely with variety of excellent breads for dipping. Clean plates all around on four mains. All beautiful. Valet tucked around back to avoid on street parking meter worries ( two hours max at $2. Per... More

We had long given up on Vieux Logis because the actual offerings fell so far short of the menu's description. The new owner-chef has changed all that. He has been preparing French cuisine his entire life, and his imaginative creations deliver! I ordered the Bronzino, baked with artichoke and seasonal vegetables. She ordered a simple steak frites, a staple of... More

Great service, and menu. I had the Dover sole, wonderful. Ann had the scallops and thought a bit tough, but good. Jim Vicki and I had the escargot for petizers and they were the best ice had for a long time and I do escargot. Jim's scallops wee good and Vicki devoured her steak/frites. We stayed and chatted for 3... More

All six of us enjoyed our delicious, inventive dinners prepared by Le Vieux Logis' chef. On Tuesday and Wednesday there is a Pre-Fixe 3 course dinner for $33 that we highly recommend. The creme brule and a chocolate creation with ice cream are not to be missed!

We had dinner there the other night and we really enjoyed all three courses. The appetizers, a beet salad and the charcuterie were fantastic, as were the main course of trout almandine and bouillabaisse. The desert a soufflé of mango and passion fruit reminded us of when we lived in Hawaii. The Chef owner and his wife have created a... More

good place to go if you want to have good food, not be rushed, and be able to hear your companions. Single glasses of wine are $11, which is a little steep, and salads and desserts are also about $11.00, Food was excellent, beautiful presentation, more food than at some French restaurant. Service slow, but may have been short-staffed on... More

Le Vieux Logis has been serving local diners for decades, but recently changed ownership with a new chef, Christian Gautros. The food is elegant and delicious, the service attentive but not fawning, the ambience while relaxed is upscale, white linen. There is valet service for your car in the evening, although parking nearby is easily available. This restaurant should be... More

Used to eat at Le Vieux Logis. When new management and new chef arrived, I was curious and checked it out. Now I try to eat here as often as I can, in spite of the 45 min. drive. Chef François can make the best tripes, just like in France! He knows how to prepare rabbit and his desserts are... More

We had a family birthday celebration dinner here. The atmosphere is very cozy and conducive to conversation. The food was quite good although slightly under seasoned. The escargot were appropriately garlicky and buttery. The others enjoyed their appetizers too. My husband got an entree of steak au poivre which was on the small side for $32.00 but very well prepared.... More
