Fun and delicious - If you like crabs do eat here; if you don't like crabs, there's nothing for you!

The Bethesda Crab House is an institution in Montgomery County. This is really one of those restaurants where you are coming for the food as there isn't much else to think about (nor should there be!). Just determine what amount of crabs you want and then it's delivered to your table on trays to... read more

It's crabs and crabs only with maybe a bag of chips. The crabs are good and very fresh. Pick up you wooden hammer and pound away. It's expensive - be aware and there's no atmosphere

Wow, this place brought back memories. I used to go to a place like this when I was a child. Didn't think they existed anymore. It is truly a hole in the wall. Not fancy, just simple. The menu is crab and that's it. They do one thing and they do it well. Hubby and friend had snow crab, daughter... More

I'm from Seattle. I love crab. But this I don't get. The crabs are smallish, nothing like the Dungeness we have on the west. Okay, I'm over that. They are different but that does not make them bad. But wow, they come crusted in some type of bay seasoning that does not do a darn thing to enhance the flavor... More

Old school crab house. Do not let the outside looks of the restaurant fool you. This isn't some fancy schmancy 5 ****** white linen restaurant with a great wine list. BUT it is a 5***** crab house. They serve crab and do it the best of anywhere I have eaten. We kept eating until they ran out of crab at... More

Got a dozen large meaty delicious crabs in a typical Maryland crab house setting. No longer are good crabs inexpensive, and if you generously tip before you are served, the God's might smile down on you kindly( may get the most desirable) Crabs, crabs, crabs! Ever.

My husband and I ate here on a Tuesday evening approximately 6:30pm. Upon our arrival there we maybe 4 full tables when we left all of the inside tables were full and there were people outside as well. The restaurant reminded me of an old crabbing ship, a little run down, but good character. The crab and corn was great,... More

We went back to the Bethesda area for a reunion of sorts. My wife and I wanted to get some blue crab and boy this crab house really fit the bill. The current market price for all you can eat steamed crabs was $49. That included corn on the cob and coleslaw. We passed on the corn but the coleslaw... More

I found this place after watching the reality show Braxton Family Values "Tracey" came here for crabs. This place is a real gem. They have tables outside and inside lined with paper. The crabs was heavy and sweet. Gone are the days when crabs were cheap. They were very pricey but for me worth the trip there. I ordered the... More

This is a real crab house. Brown butcher on the table, pitchers of beer, crabs in a pile. I happened to carry out 2 1/2 dozen on Labor Day and the crabs were so good I called them back that night to tell them how pleased I was. Medium crabs were large and heavy and well spiced.
