Matuba is one of the more reasonably priced Japanese restaurants in the DC area. The Bento box is a good deal at lunch at around $11. It includes miso soup, tempura, sushi, sashimi, and a tasty piece of grilled salmon. Sushi and sashimi seem quite fresh and properly cut. When they are busy service can be a bit spotty. more

What could be more fun that Roto-Sushi? It's like a small train that delivers pretty good food right to your seat. Not the best service, but the show is built in. Food is OK (nothing great). more

Matuba is located off a side street in Bethesda's busy section and really close to the NIH campus.
