Comfort food that will make you happy!!!

We came here from a recommendation from a friend while visiting DC area. It is not too far from Washington D.C. but get here early otherwise you will be waiting in line. If you love Dutch pancakes & you have children you will all leave full & happy. That is what comfort food is all about no? The... read more

I ate here one time, I may go back again to try it on a week day vs weekend morning. The tables were mashed together to fit as many people as they could in. Service was slow and food came out almost warm, but far from hot. Server did not return to the table once the meal was served other... More

Went on a Sunday morning. Did not realize it was such a popular place. We had a wait of 20-25 minutes for 5 people which wasn't bad. Large selection of waffles, crepes and pancakes. I got the Three Pigs in a Blanket which consisted of three sausage links with pancakes wrapped around them. So cute and so tasty!

Great menu choices, good flavor. Hit the spot. Breakfast was a great start to a very busy day. Clean and helpful staff.

The service was great. The eggs were cooked great. The bacon was a thick peice of bacon and seasoned and was cooked perfectly. The stack of pancakes were a Lil dry, but that was corrected with a small amount of syrup. The waitress was very courteous and attentive. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable.

We enjoyed both of our meals here over a 3-day trip. A bit crowded the first day, but it was Easter Sunday so that is to be expected. Weekdays, you can just walk in and get a table. Expect the usual pancake house favorites, plus a variety of more unusual items. Lots of crepe choices, omlettes, etc.. Portions are huge,... More

Visited the OPH for the first time and it was excellent! The food was served quickly and perfectly cooked. The banana pancakes were so yummy, looking forward to trying some of the other varieties! I will definitely visit again and check out the other locations as well!

Has a local feel....not like a chain. Large old fashioned menu with lots of pancake and waffle combos. A couple of the pancake orders were so so but the majority of entrees were good

I have been a fan of the "Original Pancake House" since the fifties. I was pleased that this member of the franchise provided a dining experience comparable to the best of my OPH meals. Parking can be a problem however if you use the lot below the plaza you can have a two hour validation. Make certain you use the... More

The Original Pancake House has a really big menu with limitless options for breakfast, lunch & dinner. I was there with a large group and they took care of us very well. It takes their omelets a while to make because they bake them in the oven but when they come out they are HUGE and filled with whatever toppings... More
