Spacious interior and fine food

Really great place to go with a bunch of people. Mouthwatering Mediterranean faves served in a spacious, somewhat fancy, space by nice staff. Loved the wine selection. Kebabs were done to perfection. Prices were on the higher side but the portions were huge. Will definitely go again if in the area.

This place was great. I wish I did this review sooner so I could remember exactly what we ate, but I’m guessing you could have anything and it would be delicious. They have a great large outdoor area, but it’s also off the street so its open and spacious, which was pleasant. The service was great, the food was amazing.... More

As local residents, we eat at this Middle Eastern restaurant regularity, which is an endorsement in itself. But we particularly love it on a mild summer evening, when dinner is served on the patio. An artificial waterfall drowns out much of the urban noise, and a nice breeze cools you at the end of a sunny day. We almost always... More

I visit Bacchus of Lebanon with a group of professional colleagues each time I am in Bethesda. The food is terrific! The service is skilled, friendly, and unobtrusive. We always order a couple of appetizers each and eat family style so we can sample more treats. Bacchus of Lebanon stands out in a community with many fine restaurants.

Nice actual establishment but the waiters had zero personality and my eggplant dish was DRIPPING in grease. I mean I could take it out by the spoonfuls. Won't be returning.

Authentic/great tasting middle eastern food. Generous portions. Vegetarian friendly. Great service and ambience. Easy sound level to talk. Excellent house wine (Pino Grigio). Absolutely nothing to complain about. Looking forward to going back.

We are becoming very addictive to this restaurant. The food ,the atmosphere, the service and even the regular people makes this place as a unique middle eastern establishment to enjoy the best fresh arabic meals in the DC area. The eggplant dishes are really amazing, from baba ghanouj to m ssaka to al raheb, nothing to complain about,, kudos to the chef... More

Four of us had dinner at Bacchus on a Sunday night. Not crowded, so easy to talk, good service. Two of us had eggplant dishes with chickpeas for appetizers--very good. I checked to make certain the garlic was cooked--they said it was and it was. Two of us had felafel. They liked it, too. Two of us had shish kebab... More

We chose Bethesda as a central place for three of us to meet, and selected Bacchus after a 5 minute review of ethic food on Tripadvisor. As usual, Tripadvisor didn't let us down! We were looking for a quiet place to talk with good food; started with a selection of appetizers (Hummus, Kibbeh, Shawerma) which were all very good. Our... More

The restaurant had an appetizer / entree for $20 - I had Soujok for the appetizer - which was DELICIOUS!!! Just the perfect amount of spice and an ample portion. The entree was Lahm Mechwi (Shish Kebab) - while the lamb was still slightly pink it was a little over-cooked for lamb - not bad, and a good portion. The... More
