They have the typical Americanized Chinese food, but also have an extensive menu of real Chinese and Taiwanese items. I think this place is easily the best Chinese restaurant in the area. Not expensive, so it pays to be a little adventurous here.

I'm a purist about the Chinese food I eat. I used to eat at North China when they first opened, and after moving away and returning some years ago. We recently went in for dinner, and were dismayed that they gave up most of their dining room space (I can imagine the rent increase!) and the tiny tables are shoehorned...

Had my first meal at North China restaurant on February 1, 2009, and recommend it highly. Despite the North China name, the menu includes numerous items from Taiwan and Hong Kong. There are many "homestyle" appetizers and dishes listed, too-- it would take numerous visits to work through all the intriguing choices on this menu.

That's really a great resturant ..The owner is super nice and the food is great ..very authenstic Taiwaness food ..not greasy at all ..also we lived in NJ.. its hardly can find great food like this one ..
Though it's small but the food is awesome ..great to try the gun-po squid .and cripy chicken ..seafood also are great also...
