I went to Black's Bar and Kitchen with my grandma and we had a great time. I ordered from the express menu, which was a great way to try a few things at an affordable price. I ordered the sparkling wine, the grilled chicken sandwich, and the cookie plate. Everything was great! I would have preferred to get three chocolate... More

I went with some friends who know the place well. We spent some time undecided as we wanted a seat outside but were unable to seat 3. The staff were incredibly patient with our waffling! Wonderful atmosphere - great indoor and outdoor seating, busy happening vibe without being crowded or too loud, lots of wood in the place and the... More

This is a great spot for a nice group or couple night out. The food is wonderful and the service is very well paced. After not having been here for some time, I was pleased to see how great the place still is.

Black's has really fresh seafood, but in my opinion it's a little overpriced. Addie's mussels are delish though and not too pricey. Also love their selection of oysters. Nice outdoor seating in good weather.

Our third trip to Black's and as usual the food was outstanding! Seasonal flavors and freshness give the meals a A+ rating.

My husband and I stopped in for Sunday Brunch Buffet. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and selection of food available. Traditional eggs Benedict, grits, bacon, sausage, and waffles accompanied by prime rib au jus, a comprehensive seafood and raw bar, and a huge table of pastries and desserts. Service was attentive if a little slow, but the food... More

I didn't got that same excitement. I think it's ok but no more than ok. The waiter was way "too much" talkative w/o giving one single good advice on the sauces to be chosen (and paid extra, so are the vegetables and the side dishes) nor about the wines better related to the chosen food... The menu has few dishes.... More

In the heart of Bethesda, this is a great place to meet up with friends for a celebration. We made reservations in advance for 8. The food was great, the service was terrific and the valet made sure we got our cars quickly. We will definitely return.

We went for happy hour and sat at the bar. The prices are a little high for us. The atmosphere was happening on a Friday evening. The duck nachos were tasty and flavorful. I wish there was more. The menu looked intriguing if we were wanting expensive food.

We gave this place a try after seeing it in the Washingtonian Top 100 Restaurant list. I can't see how it got there. A lot of what we ordered was very good but there were gaping holes. I had the shrimp and avocado salad, which had an excellent dressing but a grand total of 3 shrimp. My wife had mussels;... More
