We start with a bottle of wine and pick out the characteristics and nuances of the wine and then award winning Chef Jeffrey Heineman creates a menu item to highlight the flavors of the wine. First time in this restaurant, as we are traveling. Arrived at noon for light lunch. Service was excellent. We were able to get a seat by the window, which looks out on the street. So the view was limited, but the menu was not. We had one order of the Fish and Chips, which were very good, and I took... More

Do NOT approach business women and tell them that when they dine out they shouldn't be on a diet. Really? How obnoxious. Then open the wine list to the wines by the glass assuming we wouldn't order a bottle. We ordered two glasses of white before a $120 bottle of pinot noir. Then, have the entrees arrive when we haven't... More

We met as a group of 10 for dinner. The location was convenient with valet parking in the front. The service was excellent and the waiter was very good at accommodating our various requests. Everyone was quite pleased with the food which was provided a variety of options for various palettes. I recommend this local restaurant for large and small... More

So many problems with the resturant. 1) The menu listed outside the resturant is not the same we recieved when we sat down at the table. Bate and switch. Oor menu at the table had differest items and was listed at higher prices. We asked about the difference and they swore it was the same.... 2) The bartender was our... More

Dining solo can be a challenge because of the service. But I was quickly seated at a wonderful window seat and presented with some amazing wine choices which this restaurant in known for. I started with an Austrian sparkling wine which was accompanied by fresh bread and a wonderful dipping sauce of crushed tomatoes, garlic, and olive oil. My primi... More

This was my first visit to Grapeseed, recommended by my cousin who joined me. This is a great neighborhood place to dine in Bethesda. Soft shell crabs were the evening special, and they were as good as I have ever had.

One of the best meals I have had in a long, long time!!!! From start to finish great service fabulous food and great wine. Filet Mignon was the best I have ever had. The chicken was mouthwatering. Appetizers, fried oysters and mushroom over polenta were delectable. Great service and even a chat with the chef. Would go back weekly if... More

This is a nice place to get a good glass of wine and appetizers. Don't expect a full meal but you will like it.

My daughter and I went here for a light meal. Just soup, appetizer and wine. It was the most expensive meal of the weekend. The portions were modest. The appetizer mushroom in a cream sauce was barely warm. The cream flavor over powered the mushrooms. The soup also lacked flavor and was warm not hot. We will not be back.

Date night and an on-line deal had my wife and I at Grapeseed once again. This place is just shy of the main bars, but far enough that it doesn't get much of the spillover crowd. The crowd here is older and a bit more gentile. Perfect place for a date, or to grab a glass of wine during a... More
