Grapeseed use to be better. We had a very mixed experience tonight. Restaurant week menu was good but most items had an upcharge. Food was quite good except for my rib-eye. It came out way over cooked. It was replaced with a new one cooked perfectly. Unfortunately it was the thinnest rib-eye I have ever had. The evening would have... More

Went to Grape Seed restaurant on one of the "restaurant week” evening, on January 29, 2016. Over all: Food was marginal; served in small portions, and nothing was special at all. The Server was polite. Special points - events: 1) An appetizer 'grilled Octopus': was tasty, but excessively salty. Small portion. Want to hear more FUN?: 2) At half way... More

We reserved the wine room for my 50th birthday dinner. The food was good to very good, the service pretty good, but the ambiance was lacking. There was one measly candle on the table and inexpensive metal chairs. There is a food & beverage minimum for the wine room and I was expecting really good service and a pretty room.... More

We used to enjoy Grapeseed when we lived in the DC area. Hence, while visiting recently, we decided to try it again. We arrived a little before our reservation time and decided to sit at the bar and have a glass of wine and an appetizer. Very disappointing!! Poor service, unremarkable wine choices and cold gnocchi. The restaurant was empty... More

We have been to Grapeseed numerous times. It never disappoints. The food choices are eclectic, service is good (sometimes great) and its always feels slightly expensive. The tacos appetizers rock, entrees (chicken and sea food) are well prepared. Veggies choices are limited but good (even great at times). The restaurant has good ambience and we always enjoy our dinners there,... More

Grapeseed used to be so good! I hadn't been there for a long time, but thought it might make a nice place for a birthday dinner. I remembered sophisticated food, nice ambiance and great wine. Well, the wine is still there, but that is about all. The place was only maybe half full (a clue). The service was really amateurish... More

I had great expectations, but found service was poor and food was not at all to my liking. Since I arrived early, I went to the bar for a glass of wine, but no one would pay any attention to me. I really wanted to ask for a recommendation, since there were many choices, but I finally just asked the... More

We hadn't been to Grapeseed in a while --it used to be one of our favorite restaurants in the area. I'm not sure it was because they expected a Tuesday night to be slow, but the establishment seemed severely understaffed. Service was slow and there were long waits for orders to arrive. The Mussel appetizer was a bit off (and... More

My finance and I went to this restaurant the other night. Unknowingly it was restaurant week which turned out to be greatly in our favor. For restaurant week they had a special of an appetizer, an entree and a dessert for a set price (with upgrade fees on several items). We got excited because this allowed us to try a... More
